I agree, 2 people i know that are documented historical events here in western Montana never mentioned smelling them. One of them did say they had big wide black belts on them. Both sightings were less than 3 miles apart. One was Burt Sperry and the other was Lyle Slade. Neither ever went hunting ever again.
