About time this figure showed up. In this review, Steve and Arnes go over the S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla 2001 from Bandai and Tamashii Nations. This figure is based off of his appearance in the film Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monster All-Out Attack (or simply known as GMK). Please enjoy.

One thing I love about Super unimportant reviews is how they don't usually spend a huge chunk of time on the packaging. A lot of other reviews I feel waste time going over the box instead of getting to the figure. Great job again guys!

I wish neca made effect parts. Nothing too elaborate like mazers, but some simple beam effects, simple buildings, and generic military vehicles like tanks, submarines, jets, helicopters, and battleships.
Building and vehicles would be fantastic, especially if they scaled well with the MonsterArts too

In the film, he looks scary but when you make an action figure he looks adorable and huggable

If I had the space and extra cash I'd definitely pick this up. The 2001 Godzilla is my favorite design aside from the 1954 original (and it was the best executed on film, it moved like a "real" animal and not a guy in a stiff suit).

+Super U important Reviews the GMK Godzilla dorsal fins are suppose to replicate the angered souls going into him and giving him life. this explains the odd shape variety and the one fin that looks broke

I tried moving my figures tongue and it fell off cuz the ball joint is to stiff
Mine is stiff too as you can see in the video. Only can lift it a little without popping it out.
My gamera 1996 I can pose the tongue easily but you have to use a pencil or a pen.

you got one of the better gmks some people got ones with little to no paint on the spines and all most every joint pops out with the slightest touch

The NECA GMK is out now, I just got mine yesterday. Shin is planned for early next year.

i got this last week, i do love it , its bulky and heavy, but i wanted accessories with it too,and my tongue is crooked, but still cool good review

This aged pretty well
This figure looked promising but then you look at it's lower jaw. It's way too far back than it should be. Gives him a huge overbite now. SH Monsterarts seems to charge ridiculous amounts of money for figures that don't actually meet price standards.

Monsterpocolypes, 2014 sets and Sh Monsterarts Toho effect sets.
I decided to wait for the NECA instead of the SHMA because of the figure's loose joint problems.
Now, the NECA may have problems. Totally possible. But the difference is it's nearly a fourth the price of the Monsterarts. I'd hate to pay 70$ for a figure with no accessories and faulty joints.
Maybe I'll get him eventually if they fix the problems, or the price drops, but I'm still passing for now.
I am excited for the NECA Shin Gojira too. Definitely won't be as good as the SHMA, but aside from price there's something about the NECA's sculpt that looks more accurate to me.

My problem for it is the head can't move the well its super stiff for some reasons try to get it fix but its a great figure

+Super Unimportant Reviews yeah the best example of this would be the 2002 Kiryu having Windows because it's a standard release and the Kiryu 2003 having no window because it's a web exclusive. Same this with webs coming with brown boxes

Oh I know, but these are usually a more stylized then the suits so I was actually expecting to see less of the gut on the figure then what it had :)
