Stick with the swag mate you will get quicker at setting it up as you use it a few times, make sure you season it properly put it in the bath overnight and set it up in your back yard do this on a hot sunny day so the canvas properly shrinks around the stitching it should never leak.As for a battery use a deep cycle ,I use a 120 amp with a 120 watt solar panel it works well for my type of camping, all I run is my 42 litre fridge and charge a couple of devises and I find rechargeable lights they will last nearly all night on low power and that means your not draining your battery at night so next day when the sun is up just put your lights back on charge ,some lights only need a couple of hour charge so your keeping your battery full and charge your lights at the same time hope this helps happy camping mate
This video just appeared in my feed and auto played. Nice video, there's something about your approach that makes watching this video so relaxing. Cheers
Great vid, well done 👍 One thing I would like to mention is it's a good thing you have the car awning. I have personally found those Dune swags leak like a teabag, even after many seasoning attempts I purchased a Dune deluxe, set it up, wet it, and let it dry many times over. I even tried waxing the seams with the aid of a hair dryer, yet nothing I tried could seal the canvas seams. Lucky I discovered this before actual use of the swag, as I was able to return it for a refund. Happy camping 👍
I saw a YT vid of these 2 guys camping who had a rainy night & their Dune swags leaked soooo bad!!! They didn’t sleep a wink (of course) and just left the next day as all their gear was soaked. They even had tarps over the swags & STILL they leaked. Seems like they’re just as cr@p as the Big Daddy swags. Such garbage compared to a quality brand like 23zero AOS & Darche mabey too.

You’re right luckily I normally camp under my awning so don’t have to worry about leaking. 😅
