LoL, she barely had to talk as Joe was enthusiastic with his great stories. Thank goodness for his fateful meeting with Pete Willis back in the day.

Joe is so inspirational, all the time. He is one of my all-time favorite singers, and for good reason. His enthusiasm, his spirit, his confidence, all of it! He has helped me as a vocalist, to hit certain notes, to go to certain pitches where I never thought I would ever go. I hope to meet him someday, and tell him "Thanks." Rock on, Joe Elliott!!! "Long Live Rock and Roll!"

Junior High, I won a history class contest and had a choice to make...tub of Bubble Gum or a Music Membership. I had no way to play music but took the membership. I searched for days and days before I picked out Pyromania...not because I had heard a song but because I liked the cover art. The cassette tape came and that day after school, my parents took me to the local Kmart and got me a little radio/cassette player to play that tape. Clicking play with that tape inside changed my entire world. I listened to Pyromania for the next several years. That poor worn out old tape...it was my staple for road biking once I got a cheap little Walkman. Def Leppard was the best thing that ever happened to this kid from a small town.

I’m a lifelong friend of Rick Allen so I’ve watched Joe singing for many years , he really is a better singer now than he’s ever been, this is a great interview and shows how determined and inspirational he is , top man x

Joe Elliott will dominate every conversation he has, and I'm okay with it. It comes from passion that spouts out the mouth right from the heart. My favorite singer - not because he's "good" by traditional standards, but because his voice is unique and recognizable, which is better. That's how you avoid being put in a mold.

Emm, your exquisite empathy gave a warm therapeutic feeling to this conversation. Joe openned up some deeply intimate and revealing experiences, I too was unaware of the details. Thank you for sharing and allowing us to witness along with you.

This is the closest I've ever got to hearing Joe talk about his vocal transition from OTTN to High N Dry. It's insane how he was able to develop a new powerful and confident vocal style within the space of a few months. There's live shows from Dec 1980 where he's still singing in his original voice and then by June 1981 he's already playing shows with a completely different style. We all know that Mutt was the driving force behind it, but I've always been so desperate to know what it is Joe was taught to be able to get that amazing tone and rasp in such a short space of time. Does anyone know what techniques he used in his throat to get such a drastically different sound?

I was on that Def Leppard cruise. Joe handled it like a pro and gave us all free tickets to their next show anywhere in the world! But I still think what that show out at sea would have been like with Joe singing. It was a crazy cruise with lots of drama at sea. Some called it the cruise from Hell

Hi Emm, I just wanted to say thank you for the signed letter you kindly sent me with your EP in 2010. I discovered within the last decade that David Bowie used to live just a couple of miles from where I live in South East London. And his producer (Ken Scott) lived less than a mile from my house. My dad was his insurance agent (crica 1975).

What a brilliant conversation. I loved it. I watched it over 4 days (because it was long) but the fact that I kept coming back say loads. I must look Joe up he lives around the corner from me, apparently 🤣 (although I have to say I don’t know any Irish person that says “to be sure” 🤪). Emm, I just bought your book. Really enjoying it so far! Thank you.

The thing I love about Joe is he loves talking about his past. His roots and the roots of rock music. His knowledge of music is encyclopedic. It really is remarkable.
(.......I mean, he ended up being part of a pretty awful band which is odd, but that's a whole different subject)
Such a lovely guy! Keep it up Joe!!!

I'm sorry but there is no rock artist I would rather hear a singing more than Joe Elliott now I listen to Christian music a lot now cuz I'm a born again Christian but if I'm going to listen to rock let it be Joe Elliott and wonderful speaker he is expression it's an important thing it's a tool he uses wisely to open up his whole being to everyone so they could be close to him and he really is an enjoyable experience composer I love listening to the most recent on him I go back with him once in awhile to him speaking an old stuff but very rarely I like keeping up to date with him on what he's doing now thank you for the interview and Mam u did a wonderful job interview

Joe..you kicked me in my butt in a dream strangely enough..I'm a bath n body creator but in my dream Joe came up to me asked me what I'm doing and I said Im making soap .lol..he laughed and said bullocks total rubbish..you know what you should really be doing..singing!! I'm scared shitless to sing in front of people..but maybe the very things I'm fearing is an awnser to my problem of never sticking to anything very long..I sing everyday for an hour sometimes more..but who knows maybe he was right?
