What an inspiring make- over. My daughter has terminal cancer now and even though a make- over does not cure cancer , it sure lifts the spirits and helps one to think about other things. I pray that Thomas’s cancer will be cured with the treatment and I am sure this make over is helping him focus on other things besides the cancer. His reaction was precious. What a gift for him and his mom.🥰

AG getting one of his fave youtubers to record that video really shows why they do what they do. You guys all seem to really love truly making people happy. The design and fun and creativity are all part of it for sure, but it really comes down to: changing someone's space really affects their life so positively

It's the entirely wrong shade of blue. All I see is painter's tape. A more royal plus or a borderline navy if you don't want to go to dark, but this shade.

This was such a kind and lovely thing to do. Made me cry at the end (I had a son who became very ill and disabled and I totally empathize with Thomas's mother). He kept saying the room didn't feel like his but I think he meant it felt almost too good to be true. He clearly loved it.
You all did something you often do and somehow magically expanded the space -- by the time you finished, the room looked far bigger than it did before. It's exactly what Thomas asked for -- cozy but not *too* cozy. It's restful and warm.

I think this is my favorite makeover you guys have ever done, because I love how much you listened to everything he wanted and delivered it to him in a way that he couldn’t have imagined. When he said grey was a color he liked, I thought your pink-loving heart would break! But no, you found a lovely green/grey and used those great contrasting colors to keep it sophisticated, but not depressing. He will spend so many hours playing video games at that desk, feeling comfortable and like a normal teenager, surrounded by a space that reminds him that he is loved and valued. And he absolutely deserves it! Amazing job! Congratulations to you and your team! 🎉

I have an employee who had cancer as a teen. He overcame it, has worked for me for ten yrs and I just promoted him - he won’t know until Monday 😉 I just wanted to share a hopeful story. He still gets checked yearly but he’s cancer free, a homeowner, a great employee and much appreciated brother, son, and team member!

As a mother of a teen who had a serious illness, I'm sending all my love and thanks to Alexandra and her team for lessening the load of anxiety. 15 years after my daugher's horrible diagnosis (from which she has recovered) and one of my "failings" was to not think of what would make her recovery better. We just did not have the energy. The world really has no idea of what the family needs. Thanks to Alexandra for relieving this stress

I tried that color in a school at one point in life for a trim element; ended up repainting it, because every single person (including me) who walked into the room thought that there was painter's tape on the wall that hadn't been removed. It was extremely jarring.
I get the same feeling from this, particularly on the closet trim.
