  • Welcome to Anthony's Clean-Slate Garage tour! In today's video, Anthony invites you along for a Relatable Garage Tour of his new home's garage! Anthony gives you a tour of his detailing layout, storage solutions, and asks YOU for future ideas!
Anthony's home was built within the last year, and his garage was his biggest priority. He wanted something full of light, organized, and still aesthetically pleasing. His garage came unfinished, so he chose to paint it himself with the brightest white there is! His 6 garage lights are Sunco wraparound lights with the ability to daisy chain. Most of his cabinets are Husky Home Depot specials that he scored on black friday deals. Resulting in good countertop space with plenty of storage for tools, car parts, and detailing supplies.
He recently organized his extra storage on side shelving with the famous black and yellow totes. The rest of his storage was built above his garage to house christmas supplies and stowaways. Lastly is the latest improvements to his pressure washing setup. Enjoy!
Anthony has some realistic garage plans for the future and can't wait to see what he does!

Anthony's garage is legit. I listen to all the podcast throughout the week driving to work and his personality definitely come to life in that garage. As much as I love Obsessed Garage builds, I often feel that budget wise they are not obtainable at this point in my life but Anthony's garage was a garage with some hard work and an average budget is very obtainable. I'm sure this build will inspire others. Great job guys.

Very clean garage, I'm impressed. The best heating/cooling solution for a garage, in my opinion, is a mini-split heat pump system. All you need is a 1.5" hole in the wall for the refrigerant lines and power cord to connect the indoor wall mounted unit and the exterior compressor. You can get sufficient heat to -20 in the winter and you will have an air conditioned garage in the summer. Not to mention, mini split heat pumps are some of the most efficient HVAC systems available.

A mini-split unit is one of the best investments I made into my garage. I 2nd this and highly recommend it!

built my house here in oregon in 2005 with a detached 26 x 40 garage for me me me; has attic space like yours with a pull down ladder for this old man. track flooring bypass sliding doors for storage and a couple baldhead drawers and also craftsman tall ones. (your husky's look exactly like my craftsman's) lighting from Chicage ice cream cone swirl 6500 bulbs, led's and numerous 4 footers; also lights out in front for nite or early am detailing. even put in two stainless steel fish cleaning like tables to hold products and never a fish for sure. have a couple pennants lots of pics of my own cars of the past mg through mercedes amg. now i just keep redoing with rag company and p and s products. thanks for the video

    Large garage👌👍
At my old home I had the Griot's Garage floor mats and they protected extremely well the floors and were extremely easy to clean and whatever tool or parts dropped to the floor they were easy to pick and all. When I sold it the family wanted me to keep them so they were part of the negotiation.😄 Also, they were comfortable to walk on them.
Yes, Costco brings lots of extremely affordable stuff for the garage makeovers, it is just a matter of checking constantly.

Being that Boise doesn't get many days below zero, a mini split might be a great option for heating and cooling. Only one small hole through the wall is required, and you can even get DIY systems (Mr. Cool DIY) from Home Depot that are pre-charged. Drill a hole, hang the indoor unit, set the outdoor unit, run the lines and line-hide, connect and you're ready to go once you get an electrician to wire it up.
This would probably be the perfect size for a garage like this:
MRCOOL DIY Gen-3 18,000 BTU 20 SEER ENERGY STAR Ductless Mini Split Air Conditioner & Heat Pump w/ 25 ft. Install Kit 230-Volt

Another great garage full of ideas we can use, especially if we have less than an unlimited budget! Filling the wide open white walls with some posters and/or memorabilia, or a few wall shelves to hold unique items would add that personal touch!

If you are wanting to break up the bright whiteness of the walls I would suggest trimming out and painting the bottom 24” or so in a darker gray or slate blue. It would help to hide any staining from anything that splashes up off the floor and give it a clean look.

I love the clean slate, and truly appreciate the above garage storage solution to get all the clutter out of the way. I did something similar with a smaller above garage attic.
Adding a French cleat wall would look beautiful, give the garage a personality, and provide flexible custom storage for the future.

  • @adamkwasnaza
    @adamkwasnaza Před 2 lety +3

I have those racks and they are great, two suggestions, I cut sheets of 1/2” prefinished ply wood to cover the wire racks, that made storing smaller items easier plus the totes would slide out easier. Second is you can join the two sets by eliminating one of the uprights in the center and use both sets of holes in the middle. This also allows you to expand two racks to three. Sweet garage setup.

Great garage. I'm certain I've seen this garage on CZcams before but I'm sure I'm imagining things. Would be cool to run water to the pressure washer from the hot water tank. Especially warm water with a mixing valve for winter. As for decorating the walls, in the "show car" bay, maybe hang some of your favorite automotive related photos you've taken. You have a talent with it, might as well show it off. Awesome setup so far!

Great job on the garage diy'ing is not easy i can relate to that so props to Anthony ive done this quite a few times and its easy in the end but very taxing from the start and midway through lol, Designing a space can get crazy and frustrating but if you follow the 3F's in automotive and the like you'll be fine, Form Follows Function .For suggestions and jmho: First pick 3 garages that you have seen and or inspires you and compare to ur current set up , this will give you an idea on how close or far you are from your goal, next you figure out the things you want and need and after that the hard part which is you compromise on the things you have, can do and afford and then do the project in stages and enjoy the journey along this is what i call reality lol...Now to add pop i would re consider doing the ceiling since your set on white walls so maybe black, gun metal or anything dark and switch to the octagon lighting for the ceiling or switch lightings at least to add visual appeal, 2nd i would paint the storage racks in white and if your really up for it do the husky storage in white as well or sell those and switch to all to a white ones . Then i would organize all the husky's together (not too far apart or have something in between that ties them in) to make it more seamless, i would move the ceiling lights on the side walls and re extra would do rollable lighting so you can move them around when you detail or work on your car or etc. Don't worry about your floors they look awesome as is for now and doing your floors now will just add visual overload, i would focus on making the walls, ceiling more seamless..we are all victims of buying stuff randomly and on anthony's case , moved in to a new home which is again relatable with most of us and then we end up trying to make it work in unison and in a lot of cases don't really work/blend so the best solution is to plan, organize, paint and coordinate.Hope this helps, good luck and can't wait to see the build!

Not sure how long it would endure wear and tear, but it was cheap and could at least protect from stains for a while. Furthermore it should bond chemically with the concrete, or so I read on the internet. Don't know if that's true though.
