Hello, the speedometer of my boat does not work, we put air in the hose of the pitot, the indicator plays, we hold the air at the tip of the pitot, the indicator does not play
How big is the hole in the speedo meter? 1/8”?
my boats in the water. the tube was disconnected somehow. I can't seem to get it back on. the little couple looks broken off. do I need a whole unit do you think? 🤔
Hard to say. Try to get a really good look. Use zip ties to put it on. Worse case use tape to get you by.

I have an rpm gauge too. That works but speedometer doesn't. Can I repair the speedometer
I guess I'm not sure what you mean. Are they together? The pilot tube just feels the water pressure which makes the speedo gauge work. Sometimes the reader is apart of the lower end and doesn't have a pitot tube. Sometimes spiders and stuff can get stuck in it which prevents it from working or just old lines which don't seal right. It might also just beva bad gauge. It you can take a air nozzle and blow into the hose and have someone inside the boat see if the gauge moves.
@@BigIslandMNMinnetonka I figured it out. The tube is connected to the foot of my motor and the hole is in the motor itself. I got some mud in it

Pitot....is correct. Is a pressure measurement instrument used to measure fluid flow velocity. The pitot tube was invented by the French engineer Henri Pitot in the early 18th century.
He made a video on how to replace it and he has no idea what it's called.
