In this 2 part video series I will show you how to build a simpler version of a 5x5x5 RGB LED Cube. The driver circuit only consists of an Arduino Nano and the programming is rather simple due to the FastLED library.

Hey Scott, little tip: For straightening the wires I found it usefull to use a power drill: Clamp one end of the wire in the drill, hold the other end with pliers, straighten the wire by pulling with the pliers and give the wire like a few dozens of turns (or more if you like). Result: Wire straight as an arrow and stiffer, too (cause of work hardening). Dont overdo it though, as the wire will be more prone to breaking (also due to work hardening). Give it a try! :)

To straiten wire you could also use a drill. Put the wire in the drill take the other end with some pliers and rotate the wire with the drill. Will come out perfectly strait. Just make sure you dont use too much force with the plier since it will make the wire snap.

I know this video is 7 years old but I had theorized decades ago on the matrix we exist in during a theory of everything debate way back when AOL chatrooms were a thing and this cube is a perfect example , if you shrink down the LEDs to plank size and the colors covered the entire spectrum of colors in a prism as each pls k sized LED changed colors but done so the neighboring led is what effects the change then you are visually looking at a representation of the fabric we exist in and as the colors change it is also how time becomes a part of all existence when one considers the changes in each color a transcendence of temperature. Also if you eliminate the wires and can make the plank sized LEDs float the gaps between each light is the paths which strings as in string theory traverse through the entirety of space as well as provide the basis from which formulas for black holes quasars stars gravity and so on are created .
