I had something similar to the OOB trick happen to me years ago. I was playing as Blaze by myself on Stage 8 and when I jumped I must have somehow got OOB and she flew into the top left-hand corner and the stage ended. I've never been able to replicate and I've never seen anyone else do the same that I did. Was very bizarre.
You likely did the grab glitch and then jumped onto a spawning enemy.
SoR Boss soundtrack is the BEST SoundTrack in video game history!

This was an entertaining run! Loved it!
Man I remember managed to complete this on the hardest difficulty (by myself and with my brother playing with me) when my brother taught me the tricks (pressing up and jump when thrown to avoid damage, grab boss to knee twice, let go and punch them twice and then grab for a 2 knee, rinse and repeat).
But I only ever was able to do it with adam and Axel since they were stronger and in my opinion adam was my favourite who I had the most fun with (o yeah the escalator part where he uppercuts them to the sky then kick which can launch the opponent and any other in the way off the escaltor).
Thanks for showing this as I never ever figured Blaze was this good with her speed and just punching away like that (something I guess both Adam and Axel cannot do since they have a shorter combo or quicker knock down).
I forgot to say, me and my brother never tried speed runs, we always played it safe, lure few enemies to finish them off then proceed. I remember when I wanted to keep moving to get more enemy for fun and my brother would yell and have a go at me.
Hi The Man, Blaze have her jump kick, her last jab's combo's hit and her back attack weaker than Axel and Adam but it doesn't make her weaker overall. Her speed and her reach with jabs and weapons makes up so much for everything else. Axel jab's combo is better in damage than the other two but they doesnt reach far just like Adam. But Axel's 3rd jab is good enough to compensate in reach. Although, Axel's jump-kick is so awful... Adam strengths are his reach with weapons and his incredible jump-kick.
But if you play them casually, Axel and Adam are more fun to play as.
Need to play this now.

If you're already good with an arcade stick it might be easier, but the Genesis d-pad lends itself really well to the side mashing
@ShapeyFiend You would need a "loose" D-pad to be able to fluidly and quickly oscillates between directions (left and right). My 3-buttons genesis controller works fine but all other controllers I've found didnt have that nice loose D-pad so its harder to "wiggle". In that perspective, indeed its easier with an arcade stick but like zantomun have said, you need to be good with it already!

You attack and quickly hit the opposite direction you're facing. You can do it multiple times when it's the 3rd hit of Blaze or Axel. So you can end up doing 5-7 hits with good practice!
The games only 30fps, and there is a lot of lag with Blaze's punches.

Great tunes, but SoR2 has the superior soundtrack.
