Me and my girlfriend stayed in Nakano, Suginami after watching this video. Absolutely loved our time staying there while in Tokyo, especially around the Koenji area. So many great bars, cafes, and restaurants. And you're only a couple of minutes on the train into Shinjuku or Shibuya. Thank you so much for suggesting Midorizushi! Had one of the best meals of my life there! The owners were so friendly and spent much of the night talking with the locals and drinking saki. We've promised to go back there for the rugby world cup so looks like we will definitely be returning.
This neighborhood looks adorbs! 😃 What a serene, peaceful park〜
Sharing another favourite area of mine in Tokyo for this series! It's a very laid back area that I love to go on my days off, so hope you guys enjoy exploring this area with me!! 😀

Inuyasha the museum is free!
Have you ever been to one of the Hello Kitty or character themed cafes? I'd love to learn more about them!
internationally ME .
Nice little "hole in the wall" neighborhood. That is very interesting. Thanks for the great job.
I LOVE all the Tokyo hidden gems!! More please! You are such a wonderful ambassador for Japan.
I wish your videos where longer! ❤️ I love that you go to off beat areas. This is how I want to visit japan
Ahhh the quality of your content, your editing creativity, and your level of comfort in front of the camera/microphone have grown sooo much over the past year. And your channel is so unique in that we've been able to see your sincere happiness of exploring Japan evolve and grow stronger in every video. I follow many channels focused on exploring Japan, but yours is the only one that makes me want to talk to every shop owner right here where I live, even though I live so far away from Japan, and just be a better human being in general.
If you’re looking for where to live in Tokyo, strongly I recommend to settle in Suginami town such as Koenji, Asagaya.
I’ve lived in more than 10 places in Tokyo including Asakusa, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro...but Koenji is the best for me so far!
Of course every town has unique interesting spots or shops, but Koenji, this town brings me fruitful culture experiences. And apartments nearby are reasonable I think.
I really appreciate these Hidden Spots videos you're making.
Japanese culture is so intriguing already, but you add so much more to my "if/when I go to Japan" list. :{D
Thanks to you I have so many more authentic and local places on my Tokyo bucket list!
It's a dream of mine to go Japan and experience the country as authentically as possible and you're helping me make that a reality, thank you!
Hey Angela, I'm from Christchurch NZ 😊 I just wanted to say I've been watching your videos for a while and love them! They fuel my love for Japan. My brother lives in Tokyo, I've visited once and can't wait to return!!!
I love your videos!! Thanks for always uploading such awesome content!!! Love you!! 😊
Love how you put everything together for each video, and showing the pure Japan with us! Keep up the good works :D

Love you and your videos! Thank you SO much for sharing! Can’t wait for more!
You're making me want to already come back to Japan with your videos ! I have the feeling that Suginami has the same atmosphere as Shimokitazawa, but more laid back :) Love the concept of the hotel !
Yeah, it's similar to Shimo! I really like this part of town though, shimon is getting a bit touristy now :/
I will win the bubble competition next time!!!!!
Like the bgm~~~~
MaoMao TV cute and humble personality...cool...
wah you're the first person who say that! hahaha Thank you!!

I've been so many times in tokyo, and there's always something new to see. Love your videos, they are very informative!!
I was there today :) sadly Midori Sushi was closed but the Hattifnatt was super cute! Around Koenji Station the area has a bit of a Shiwa-Kitazawa vibe to it because there are many vintage and second-hand stores there but overall it feels less crowded! Thanks for all your osusume :P
yet another great video! keep it up!!
I loved this! looks like so much fun!
I love the style of your videos, they're like documentaries! 👌🏼😄❤️
When I'll go to Japan this guides will be very helpful. 🗺☺️

Me and my husband are going to Japan on December and I have been watching your videos....they have been very helpfullllll....we want to visit Hokkaido....we are waiting for your video!!! We are from Guatemala....so glad I found your channel!!!! We are definitely taking your advice in many things!! Keep posting!!!
Thank you very much for your content! You're helping us a lot organising our trip to Japan :)
when i was in japan i just went to any station, took any train to any direction, left the train at any station...and walked in any direction for a few hours...without my smartphone or anything like that (i left it at home in germany).
so...if you ever come to japan...try to do it the same way. you will be suprised about your discovery.
Teilzeitotaku how do you get back?
you mean to the hotel?
it's hard to get lost in tokyo (my first trip to japan, december 2014).
and at my last trip (osaka / kyoto, june 2017)...keep calm, believe in your sense of orientation and you'll find your way back home / to the hotel. get hurry and you'll get lost forever. ^^
I feel you can't really get lost if you've never been there before enjoy and explore. I hope to go to Japan someday soon!
that's a good idea! think i might do that but still have my gps for when i have to get back to my hotel lol
+Ally R.
...so you wont do that ^^
Nice video as always. Now you've given me more ideas on where to visit.
Yeah the local places are fun!

Just in time, Angela! Going to Tokyo at the end of august! Thank you!
WOoOW that rally nice and the hotel too good job
I'm always surprised to know that there are many places in Tokyo to discover. Thanks for an informative video again!
Wow looks awesome!
Great video! So pretty☺️
Beautiful friend ;)
Amazing places
Was talking to my friend about your video, thought I would copy/paste what I wrote to him:
Short, cute girls, shows plenty of clips of them doing stuff, not just stretching their arm and filming, plenty of color, plenty of different good looking clips, she has music playing in the background when interviewing people so it kinda helps me forgot the not amazing audio. Again, the fucking COLOR is popping in this! Again, the shots are so great as well. Looks very well, clean, polished, not so shakey, she changes the angle each time they do a new action. You could say she gets cheat points cause she is pretty cute, but you can tell she worked really hard getting and setting up all those shots as well as all the editing she did for the whole video as well.
Either way, really well made video. My only gripe is that it had the same jingle/song playing the time, but it's so small, easily can be overlooked.
Anyways, THAT'S why she has 100,000+ subs lol. She makes high quality videos that are easy and fun to digest.
Thanks!! Haha!! 😅😅 Of course I love making videos and exploring but a lot of hard work, late nights, sacrifices etc happens behind the scenes for most creators so its a lot more work than most think.
Appreciate the detailed comment, thank you again!
Yayyy a hidden spot video 💕
Is it only me but your friend looks like Haruka Ayase. (Beautiful Japanese actress)
I have been to Japan with my wife who is Japanese. She was the best tour guide, but I remember watching the TV show, Tsuiseki. It was English-friendly and very educational about Japan. It is a good idea to learn as much as possible about Japan before you travel there. Good video. Domo. I love Japan and your video reminded me why.
I really loved the last part of the trip, where you can go make your own traditional Japanese sweet. It looks so delicious with a cup of tea with it. Does the teacher have it in English or is it only in Japanese for the lessons?
Great! More please!
