Doc, may I ask how to transfer all these accurately into patient’s mouth? Like is there an index or something? Or lets not say into mouth, just transfer into another cast

Doc, i have a quick question here in terms of the placement of the undercut gauge. Is the horizontal portion/disc supposed to be at the Gingival margin while we are trying to locate the favourable undercuts? Or it has to be slightly above it?

Where the horizontal portion of the disc will touch the tooth - that will be our recorded undercut and also the final position of the retentive terminal of the clasp. We are looking for undercuts in the gingival third of the tooth. However, we do not want exactly on the gingival margin as it has the chance of hurting the gingiva. So it should be slightly above it. Please correct me if this concept is wrong. Thank you Dr. Durham for a very detailed video.
