You can tell that law regarding women having to wear skirts was a US and not a Scottish law.
It would take a brave judge to tell a Glaswegian woman that she couldn't wear a pair of trousers, and would have to put on a skirt instead. He would be looking for a new pair of baby makers shortly thereafter I would imagine.

Women in the 70s and very early 80s wore skirts and dresses with no bra and no panties
In 1983 The National Organization of Women demanded that all women tape down their nipples and wear shorts under all dresses and skirts.
In 2005 it was made FCC law that all TV had to have women wear nipple covers and shorts under their dresses and skirts.
I was working in Media and in 2002 and I remember when we were sent the digital masking processors with overlays that digitally erased nipples and blacked out all up skirt shots.
If you watch TV you will see the scenes where you should be able to see panties and it will be black under the skirt as though there is shadow. This is very easy to see if you have videos recorded from the 70s or 80s
We used to see panties all the time on regular TV shows and nipples
Not just the poking through the shirt or dress, but we saw actual nipples.
I remember when an actress from the show Bones talked about the laws requiring her to wear nipple covers and shorts under her skirts when the host was upset she was late.
He asked her why she was late getting out on stage when she had arrived on time , why couldn't you get out here ?
And she told the host, we are required to tape down our nipples and put on Spanx and shorts, and I would have been out here on time but they made me get tape over my nipple covers to make them flat so they wouldn't show bumps in this dress and they made me wear an extra pair of spanx because of the dress showing the shorts.
The host told her to shut up, she knows they are not allowed to talk about this.
It was live, and it wasn't on the script, and people, including her, got fired for talking about this.
BTW, the largest hog farm is outside Las Vegas and they use all the garbage from all the casinos and restaurants.
I never heard about concerns over diseases.
You don't want to know what I saw in the waste fed to the hogs outside Las Vegas.
      I miss Garage Sales
eBay has banned a lot of books in the last 5 years.
I understand banning some items because of safety or legal reasons, but I was horrified that people were filing reports to us that eBay was terminating their accounts completely for listing books.
There are thousands of complaints we have received this year from people who have been banned from Ebay for books they listed for sale.
      These books are legal.
But, when you don't have private bookstores anymore, eBay is usually the only place you can find old and rare books.
I never thought I would see the day books were banned in America.
      Just sad
      America is not free anymore

My family went to visit Parliament in Canada in the Summer and my mother wasn't allowed to enter because she was wearing shorts. Even today, I see even young women at Canadian Parliament only wearing dresses and skirts. They also have to have the skin on their legs covered, which I think is true in the UK too. In the US that is only expected at weddings and funerals. In and Canada and the UK it is in any "business setting."

I thought people had garage sales before they moved out of the house.

Blowing your nose was a crime in the 80's? Where?

    • @BrandonLeeBrown

Not all laws are criminal. Some are civil. It wasn't the blowing the nose itself, but when it an assault on somebody else.

@@BrandonLeeBrown I see your point. I think however there's a burden to prove it was an attempted battery in order to become an assault.

In the 80’s…? I’m pretty sure that all these things were illegal in the USA, but not in Western Europe!
Once again showed how ‘free’ the ‘land of the free’ TRULY is….. NOT!
Anyone trying to ban woman from wearing pants/trousers or even hotpants, would be laughed at right in their face and absolutely NOT taken seriously in the Netherlands in the 80’s…!
And homing pigeons were 100% legal in the Netherlands too!
The same goes for most of the other things mentioned in this video too…
Y’all must have been/are out of your mind to think this nonsense would be accepted!

What about Doberman dogs. They are dangerous too.

I was a Postie for years in the 80's and 90's. Parcel man, not letters though. So I often had to hang around at doors etc, waiting for people to give the items to.
And I'll tell you that I never felt the need to run away from a doberrman. Rottweilers though.. Could go do one. The only dogs I ever ran from actually.
