Well done. I’ve refurbished my carbs based on your other video- haven’t put them back yet. Is there a video that you know of on how to assess the valves, as per your suggestion? Thanks , Tim
An English car that doesn't do well in the rain. You'd think that woulda been a given in the design. Made in England were it seems to rain non stop. When I get caught in the rain, it's like a submarine with a bad hatch gasket.
Great video as always Ross.
Have to say Im enjoying your journey with this car. Glad you got her home.
You are spot on . Start with the valves and work your way around.
Just like I do with my 63 beetle.
✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺.
Great to see you got her home.
Great Video. From Sunny California.
Soft tops or sun-roofs, always avoided them. Well done Ross.
Great stuff... I recently had electronic ignition fitted to my 76 B..... Recommended 👍.... Love the russet brown colour... Typical 1970s BL 😂
Lovely machine. My da fully restored a 1963 one. Only thing he couldn't find was the mesh wheels (at a fair price). He's over in louth

Could be a slipping crankshaft pulley upsetting the timing
Forget my previous comment - slipping pulley affects strobe setting - how about a loose distributor shaft clamp ?
I had another crack at setting up the mixture. This time I did it by ear and it's running sweet now. I did recheck the timing first though. Cheers!
