I have been doing drywall (as a home owner) for 30 years. It has always taken me at least 5 coats with lots of sanding. Your skim coating video caught my attention a few months back. Your teaching technique is so clear and interesting that I’ve watch at least a dozen of them. I recently started to remodel a house. I am amazed at how much better, quicker and easier your methods are. You have turned me into a joint compound genie! Thank you!

I'm a DIYer who only engages in this sort of home reno when I buy or sell a house, i.e. just a handful of times in a lifetime. I'm the kind of guy who won't call in the pros (sorry) if I think I can do a decent job myself. Last time was before the advent of CZcams and I thought I was a pretty handy guy, above average. Now I know better, lol. I was doing almost everything wrong resulting in me having to work harder and longer for sub-par results. I don't think I'll ever reach professional skills, but I will be able to hand over the house to the next owner and be proud of my work (and fetch a better price). Many thanks to you for taking the time to make and share educational videos like this!

I was a hospital-based medic back in the 80's. I always said that if you were good at drywalling, you had a career at the hospital. They were always remodeling some where, put a door here, remove a door there, room bigger, room smaller...They were amazing to watch. One day I seen them remove a doorway, and the mudding job was excellent. No need to touch anything up. The next day, I walked by it and the wallpaper was already up. Pro's...
