Loving these. Only 2 things that I could see as improvement would be flipping Jay’s field so it isn’t upside down and then when a card is played bring it up on the left side of the battlefield for people that don’t know what the cards do
I like the way it is because it feels like they are sitting across from each other playing the game
I like the idea of card overlays but flipping the board seems weird
I’m good with the board this way, and I’d take more matches than fewer but with more editing/overlays.
Watching these games and Vader as leader & with Vader unit is just Beast mode!!
Not meant as a diss on what others do, but I find this series the easiest gameplay to watch for this game on CZcams. Keep it up fellas!

Good job on the content! Quick question to the boba player, turn 3, knowing the vader probably has a force choke, why not ECL the smuggler to kill the shoretrooper? You would've ready a 3rd ressource, kept your boba outside of reach and swung the base for 4 dmg😊
I'd just like to throw one more vote in for Bo3 matches. Beyond that, keep it up.

rolling odds/evens with two dice is 5 odds vs 6 evens, so a bit unfair to pick the starting player that way :P
Edit: while this at first glance seems to make sense, I did the math and googled it to be sure, it's in fact still 50/50

Yes but it’s still a 50/50. Each number doesn’t have the same probability of coming up.

We have a very large game store in my area & it’s very popular. There are MTG tournaments weekly that draw 30-50 players regularly.
There are two GW miniature nights with over 20 players each night .
This past Saturday they ran a Star Wars Unlimited tournament & 5 people showed up !!!
SWU is dead on arrival in a game store that has been in business for over 25 years with a huge customer base .
MTG is king for a reason.
That doesn’t track with experience everywhere, but interesting to know!
Haven’t had that experience at all, sounds like you just have a very magic-centric community which is cool if that’s what you’re into. We talk a lot on our podcast about how to build a local community so check those out if you want to try and grow the game in your area
@@LiterallyUnplayable the consensus at the local game store was the fact that Fantasy Flight has a horrible track record supporting their games . The other thing was money . With a recession in process, it’s hard to get people to switch from their MTG money pit & into another money pit that has a bad company behind it .
Who knows as time will tell , but SWU looks fun …. Will it survive FF & can people afford a new tcg/ccg ?
Doubtful on both imo based on what Ive seen .
There was fervor for Flesh & Blood locally , but is all but dead .
I think card games suffer , because of the pay to win aspect of it & kids/young adults are struggling with money issues now that covid cash is over .
SWU should have waited for inflation & interest rates to comedown before releasing.
Americans are broke right now & their 500-10,000$ dollar MTG collection holds them to the one game rather than multi game decks.
Within a few months SWU will cost 200-500 dollars to have a competitive deck & that will be it’s death .

Did you do odds or evens on two dice? That is heavily favored for odds since it’s much more like to roll 7 than anything else in two six sided dice.
If it was choosing a number that rolls you’re spot on as 7 is most commonly rolled with 2d6. However since it’s simply whether odds or evens are the total and not which odd or even, the choices are equal. 36 combos treating dice as separate items. Odds of rolling a : 1: none ; 3: 2/36 ; 5: 4/36 ; 7: 6/36 ; 9: 4/36 and 11: 2/36 for a total of 18/36 rolls which is 50%. Rolling evens would these odds : 2: 1/36 ; 4: 3/36 ; 6: 5/36 ; 8: 5/36 ; 10: 3/36 and 12: 1/36 for total of also 18/36 options or 50%

loving the games. Haven't tried them yet but what's your guys thoughts on playability of the 25 HP bases, they don't seem very useful as of right now, maybe as new sets come out or a revamp in later sets.
Me personally, they're very good but as vader I can't justify the 5 health simply because I need that extra 5 against aggro matchups especially against sabine
The 25 hp bases are VERY good, in these videos we’re using them, and we probably use them 90% of the timr

How do you pass, then play a card? I thought passing ended your phase.
Passing only ends the action phase if your opponent also passes or takes initiative
This is so minor, but you should never do odd/evens with 2d6. It's not a true 50/50 since you cannot roll a 1, meaning you have a hight chance to win the roll by picking even.
In a couple prior comments this is shown to be an accurate way to do odds and evens. Not a big deal but many in our local group roll starting initiatives this way and don’t want anyone worrying about unfairness.

We do mulligan our whole hand Jay likes to say “I’ll put this back…” or whatever but he means put it into his resources

How do you feel about bobas matchup into sabine?
Personally I have seen Boba win over Sabine about 55-60 % of the time (maybe 25 ish games?). Your local meta can vary a lot..
We’ll have to try it and see!

That does work fyi, it’s not the most efficient use of the card but it doesn’t prevent the unit from readying at the next regroup phase (which happens are the end of that round)
@italianobergs you can target units with cards even if it doesn't change the game state. Another example is using asteroid sanctuary on an exhausted unit just to get a shield on something. You can even use heroic sacrifice just to draw a card when all your units are exhausted and therefore can't attack. You can use Iden's ability even if no units were defeated, but restore no damage as a "soft pass." The list goes on...
