  • Matt goes to the dealership and I am insanely disappointed at the insane markup for a 1LT Base model 2021 two year old C8 mid engine Corvette. I cannot believe dealerships are taking advantage of working people for a car that cost only 62,000 brand new and they’re selling it for $129,000 and the lowest he would go is $119,000 for a used two year old Corvette

    This only stops when everyone quits paying over. Just stop buying. Period.

    Trade-in for a 2020 Stingray is $95k. Private party is around $100k. They are still asking $20-30k over book value, which is what will kill dealerships one day. People are done being screwed over.

      It is sad that the Corvette was created to be the working person's sports car, not the rich guy only car. That is why Chevy Priced the C8 base model at $59,900 back in 2020. Where they get off on six figures for a car way under is high way robbery

    The tag in the engine bay and the wheels say its a 2023. My car is at status 3000 and should be at my dealer in about 5 weeks. A lot of dealers sell them for MSRP so just order one and dont pay markup.

    There were two dealerships in my area that were notorious for markups. Many people were smart enough to go elsewhere. They are both out of business now.

    Import JDM cars. There’s great support and 1JZ, 2JZ, RBs, 4AGE, VG etc buy the NEW Z! Vet here too so when I listen to you I feel like I’m listening to myself 😂 good times🚙💨💨💨🏁🤓🏁

    The dealers days are numbered. It won't happen tomorrow, but it's just a matter of time before the manufactures go to an online sales model and dealerships become service and pickup departments. I'm not sure if that'll be a good thing in the long run, but at least it will drive a more consistent pricing model.

      Just like Taxis dealers days are marked and not a single person will feel sorry for them. I get they're a business that employs people & they have to make money especially on cars they may not get a ton of allocations. But damn everything at the dealership is so stressful even going for service is a gray hair experience,

    • @Bob-in4eh
      @Bob-in4eh Před 2 lety

      Love the idea , just open service centers nationwide . Then dealers cant pull the " if you didnt buy it here we wont do warranty.service" . Yes some do that and GM allows it. I wonder if these guys sell.at MSRP to someone ,buy it back with 400.miles then can mark it up.stupid to avoid GM hitting them for not selling at MSRP. Who buys a car and trades in or sells at 40 miles ? People simply need to stop paying it and they will come down.

    This is a 2023 ( red seats)- those wheels were not around in 2021. Base price around 69-72 now - they raised the price. The market is 100k plus on the cars no matter the year. I have a 2023 I paid 85k 2 LT but I can sell it for 105k easy.
