Deregulation of financial derivatives was a key underlying cause of the financial crisis. Two laws deregulated the financial system. They allowed banks to invest in housing-related derivatives. These complicated financial products were so profitable they encouraged banks to lend to ever-riskier borrowers. Its quite similar I guess.

I have to make similar videos for an extracurricular - I was wondering how you got those animations working? They're so cool!
I use Davinci Resolve to edit, and the way I ended up getting the animations to work is by drawing each moving portion separately in Photoshop and saving them as png files, which I could then overlay on top of the video/background image and animate with the features in Davinci (x and y coordinates, rotation, zooming, etc). There's also a "fusion" tab where you can do much more complicated animations, but I haven't quite figured that out yet! :) Good luck with your video
