I absolutely love that you are teaching your kids! And you are so patient and loving, which is very heartwarming and amazing! I know this video was a few years ago but these are the most precious moments that will live with them forever! Great Dad!.
Seeing how easily Ramsay makes cooking look got me try to teach myself. I haven't been doing it for long, probably only a year or two now, but once i started noticing the difference in fresh, home-cooked food I was hooked. I keep coming back to these videos for more ideas

Wonderful thing to see. It's always bothered me that so much of the amazing produce of the British Isles seems to be ignored by traditional cooks. I know what grows in Britain, and the ingredients on offer in this video are very much within that category.

I developed a variation of smoked brisket that uses the same traditional French and British principles of roast beef. I dry brine overnight, then coat it with spices and a layer of mustard. The mustard helps form a beautiful crust, and keeps the moisture inside the meat, which lets me do long cooks without having to wrap the meat in butcher's paper to protect it. Those long cooks, 12, 16, and 18 hours, really makes the meat incredibly soft and tender, and the mustard stops it from drying out. If you ever run out of ideas for what to make tomorrow, you can always find inspiration in the past.
