I graduated from Oakwood in 1982.The Aeolians took you the front steps of heaven every Sabbath. In the last 40 years I’ve never heard a choir that made me feel the way they did. I get goosebumps just writing this!
Amen!!!There was one who came pretty close in Hyattsville maryland called Metro singers conducted by dr Myron Ottley.Located on Riggs Road .They blessed Sabbath mornings for many years .You can find them on utube . Let me know what you think.💙🙏
May God continue to keep this soooo blessed choir and beyond under His shadow under His feathers under His wings in Jesus's name thank you! Happy Sabbath!
Yes, it was the Oakwood Unwitty Choir the Aeolians that convinced me to attuned the college, and though I am not a student or a employee there now , doing my first year at the HBCU Oakwood Adventist University set the stage for my educational school I am attending now.
Had to be much later than that because “Total Praise” wasn’t recorded until 1996, plus Alma Blackmon turned 80 during the summer of 2001, both of which were mentioned in the video.🎶
Is Alma Blackmon still alive? I used to hear so many stories about her, she was strict, but an excellent director, my mentor used to sing in this excellent choir
Took my breath away!! Hearing is believing! Thank you!❤🦋🌹🎶🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wishing peace and good memories to all who enjoy this video!
They have managed to maintain the great, vibrant and rich sound till this day. The standard has not dropped at all.
The Aeolians have become my most favorite choir!!😍😘😍😘😍
Amazing...God be praised!
Beautiful

A blessing! All wonderful, but I especially appreciated Ricky Hill at 47:37. No man works like Jesus!
I sang with Dr. Ricky Little for a whole year yet only heard his singing voice one brief time. What a treat to hear his solo here! 🧡

Because of whose I am
In which year was this event recorded? It looks like the early 90's!

@@mjhunter502 Thank you!
