    • @vyomps

    Loved your video, brother. Very informative and useful for people looking to fly AC.
    I am going to fly AC from Mumbai to Toronto via Frankfurt in June 1st week and a return ticket of July 1st week. This round trip costs me around 1,05,000. But the only problem is, it is non-refundable and I'm quite tensed about it.
    Whereas there is a BA flight via London on the same route at same time which is more expensive costing me around 1,41,000 but it is partially refundable.
    So, which flight do you recommend me to go with? Also, I might have to change my dates (less chances) so is it better if I go with AC, because it has a free date change policy and it is also the cheapest round trip available for me at the moment!
    Looking forward to your response.

    • @vyomps
      @vyomps  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you for watching!
      Is the first leg of your trip Lufthansa or Air India to Frankfurt? I personally enjoy flying both British Airways and Air Canada and have had good experiences with both. London Heathrow and Frankfurt are also both equally easy to navigate airports. So in terms of service both choices are similar. Although remaining on British Airways throughout is definitely easier than swapping airlines. But if your plan is final than staying with the cheaper option would definitely be the way to go!

    • @kushparmar1989
      @kushparmar1989 Před 2 lety

      @@vyomps Thanks for your suggestion. Much appreciated.
      The first leg of the trip is Lufthansa. Even on the return date, it's Lufthansa coming back to Mumbai. And yes, my plan is final and I'm going with the AC option. Now, I have two more queries.
      Firstly, do I need a Transit Visa/Schengen Visa while being at Frankfurt airport for my connecting flight (I have a valid Canadian Visitor Visa as you might've guessed).
      Secondly, the flights which I'm booking in my round trip, both have a layover of 2hr 5 mins (BOM-FRA-YYZ) and 2hr 10 mins (YYZ-FRA-BOM) respectively. So according to you, is a 2 hour gap enough? Also considering that I have to change my airlines to Air Canada, but is on the same Terminal 1 (Concourse B). So it shouldn't be much of a hassle.
      I'm just worried if God forbid my LH flight gets delayed and the connecting AC flight departs already, will they arrange a new flight for me considering I have the same PNR and it is a single booking. Need some clarity on this. Looking forward to your response.
      P.S. - There's also a 5 hr layover flight available by AC on the same route. But it is again 10k INR more than the one I'm booking. So, should I stick with my 2 hr layover on both the flights, or do you suggest I should go with a 5 hr/7 hr layover at Frankfurt airport.

    • @vyomps
      @vyomps  Před 2 lety +1

      @@kushparmar1989 Hey!
      I am not sure what the latest rules are for Indian citizens but I think you will be fine in terms of visa. I don't think the EU requires transit visa for Canadian bound traffic.
      2 hours should be enough so long as the flights are not delayed. Frankfurt airport is easy to navigate. You are one 1pnr so you should be fine. The airline is responsible for re-routing you and booking you into a hotel room (if your delay is long) if you get delayed and are on a single pnr.
      I am actually flying through Frankfurt airport in a a few weeks myself and will try to film another video.

      @@vyomps Thanks man. Appreciate your help. And yes, I booked my tickets on 8th April itself. And no transit visa is required at Frankfurt airport for people travelling to Canada. So I will be fine. Also, I've stayed with the 2 hr layover both times as it was cheaper and more convenient. I'll be waiting for your new video. Cheers.

    Cam we connect air india from amritsar to dehli to toronto??without facing issue of domestic luggage weight.

    • @vyomps
      @vyomps  Před 2 lety

      One way tickets can cost anywhere between $800-2000 depending the time of year. It is hard to predict what the price will be and they fluctuate a lot. We paid $3000+ for a round trip. However during off season, tickets sell for as low as $1500 roundtrip.
      Yes you can! As long as you book your entire journey under one PNR.

    Vacation is already over! Time flies doesn't it? I am hoping by July i will be able to fly out of the country, otherwise i'd go crazy trapped here in Vancouver. 😅
    The dreamliner though wow! I've yet to fly in this amazing craft. Everything is so incredibly modern and with lots of leg room! Even the cabin is incredibly quiet vs the 777's. Meals look great too, love how they both came with naan breads on the side.

      Thanks for watching as always buddy :) Luckily I filmed a lot of material in India. Will continue posting India content for several months hahahaha
      Dreamliners are fun. Windows are really big. Unfortunately this was mostly a night time flight. Else enjoying dreamliner window views are amazing.
      My favourite aircraft remains the a380 however. Only flew it once, but its extremely quiet as compared to other planes. Makes the journey more comfortable.
      Looking forward to seeing your trip reports this summer ;)

    How did u get 3 separate meals at 7:29 7:37 7:51 for lunch? Dont we get only 1 for lunch? Also bro after the breakfast/ dinner and before the lunch how much time do we have for sleep in this flight ? Also do we need to self pick the drinks when no meals are being served or do we need to click and select from the smart screen? Im really sorry if my questions seem silly but i will also be traveling in the same flight in the future and it will be my first flight ever so im really tensed . Thanks in advance.

    • @vyomps
      @vyomps  Před 2 lety +2

      I filmed my co-passengers meals :) You only get one option! There were about 5 hours between the first and second meal services. The screen only shows the menu items, you cannot pick from it. You can however go to the rear of the aircraft at anytime for a drink from the self-serve trolley; alternatively you are also served a drink with every meal service. Have an enjoyable trip :)

    The aircraft looks good and modern. The stewardess making the announcements in Hindi seemed to have an extremely heavy American, or in this case, Canadian accent when she made the announcements. Also, the meals looked rather small when one considers the length of the flight.

    • @vyomps
      @vyomps  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you for watching :)
      You are correct! The FA was indeed struggling with her Hindi. AC needs to ensure that their staff are more adequately representing the needs of Hindi speaking passengers.
      Meals are also small; however, this flight has some of the best service I've seen aboard Air Canada. AC's flights to India are much nicer than flights between Canada and Europe from my experience. I assume Air India probably provides nicer meals on this route.
      Air Canada does have modern and clean Aircraft however :)
