yup 9-3 in the UFC 8 of those are finishes. 2 of losses I also felt that he won too. The Gastelum fight was close, but the Romero one was a pure robbery in my eyes.

@@onyxthegemlord2847 to be fair, hes only lost to some of the best middleweights we have ever seen in the UFC..Izzy,Romero,Jacare 2x, Silva, Whittaker...he looked good against Machida, say what you want about Machida being past his prime but Brunson put him out cold in the first. I think it's kinda harsh to say that hes "trash"...the middleweight division in the UFC is full of killers.
Jacare is the kind of fighter you'd like to watch over and over again, not only he's a great fighter but also really humble for a guy who fights like that

He better hope that it doesn't go to the ground dude ( even though it probably will ) because as a kickboxing/ standup specialist I doubt he's had any serious training against submissions while Jacare I feel like will have to worry about closing the distance. Hopefully we get this fight thats too good

Im from Sweden but Jacare Souza is still one of my favorite fighters I love his style and he fights with respect aswell I dont know how he can be so scary when he's so humble to his opponents I dont know fighters like him are rare I really hope he gets the belt before he retires

Jacare is such an all-around respectful martial arts practitioner. When he knows someone's out of the fight he holds back from throwing unnecessary blows. When catching a guy in a submission he let's go the SECOND his opponent taps. A true sportsman.
You know you're the real deal when you have a win against Gegard Mousasi on your resume.
Especially if you sub Gegard very hard to do, it's hard enough to ko him or out strike him in a decision, Shows how high calibre Souza is.

He was the legitimate challenger twice, but accepted unnecessary fights and ended up losing, respectively against Romero and Whittaker .
@@Xmj6919 Jacare arguably did win the Romero fight though, he didn't need to take the fight against Whittaker but the UFC kept promising him a title shot if he won this fight and that fight and they never gave it to him. Quite simply the UFC wasn't interested in him, and neither was Bisping who was the champion at the time and had Dana White privilege. In a just world Bisping would have been forced to defend his title against Jacare or be stripped.
I like fighters who know when their opponent is koed and dont keep hitting them, good for you Jacare, you are a legend and an athlete.
I think people often forget what a beast Jacare is. He is every bit as terrifying as Yoel Romero.

I always maintain that Jacare is one of the most under appreciated guys in MMA history, I mean to hold victories over 3 former UFC Champions and a Strikeforce Middleweight title as well is a pretty good career and he’s still competing at a high level to this day.
