    Thank you for the video. I booked a vacation because it said up to $1600 in resort credits. I would have been upset during my vacation if I found this out. Now I expect it and if something pans out I will consider it a bonus. This would have put a huge damper on my trip. Thank you!

    Anytimes someone from the resorts approaches you it's a scam they're trying to sell they're trying to get you to see so you could spend additional monies in the future by purchasing memberships or future stays.

    Ahhh the credits...we learned the hard way too! Have never used them again. Additionally it gets confusing and opens a window for sneaky fees that can be confusing to dispute. Live n learn :)

    Has anyone here ever booked a resort stay with your own money, not a timeshare meeting or sales promotion but have booked directly on the resorts website and has been given say $200 in resort credits just for booking directly with them? Are these resort credits honored?

    • @kimberlyNP
      @kimberlyNP Před 2 dny +1

      Yep, they are and I know from personal experience! And then on top of that, the ones that you can use resort credits for say excursion, for example, are crappy excursions where the tour guy then tries to convince you to spend more money at the shops that they take you to. Secondly, anything that you are allowed to purchase you have to pay a 16% tax on top of it as well and if any of these excursions are at a particular facility, you have to pay a certain percentage tax to that facility. It is all a scam and I wish I had known that before I signed any contract but thankfully my contract wasn’t very much because, we talked them down to a few thousand dollars, but still I’m out several thousand dollars with little to no benefit

      I am a member. Been a member for many years…There’s a paper that tells you how much of your resort credits can be used and where you can use them. Nothing in life is free. If you go through life expecting things to be free you will be scammed. You just have to pay for what you want. There are fine prints and you just have to read everything. The main parts of the membership is your best price weeks. Everything else that comes with it is gravy. If youre gonna get a membership just remember that the cheapest is never usually the best especially if you are someone who likes the finer things in life.

      Someone said you can use them on laundry services so when you go back home you have clean laundry. It’s hard to say because they charge so much taxes on whatever you use it for. It wasn’t worth it for us 😞

      There are so many rules… You get 500 “resort credit” depending on your status but you can only spend a certain amount like 250 in the spa but everything in the spa cost more money than that so you end up paying more and then it’s taxed 16 percent…..
      Also when you go to a different resort they try to insist on you going to another “member update” so they can sell you on a better package or in their words “give you the opportunity to ask questions🙄” and when you say no they get a little aggressive. We literally had ours for a little less than 4 mth from Cabo then went to Jamaica and they tried upselling. We just walked away and said no.
