I had the chance to see him on stage only once as Cavaradossi in Berlin in the early 2000s but I wish I could see him again. Last September I was in his last home which is a museum. Highly recommendable

A TOTAL JOY.. When on stage alone (Non Duet) Luciano most always
acknowledges the audience's approval. Notice he held until several minutes
when he smiled the audience crescendo grew lounder. DESERVATIVELY EARNED.

In 90's he did those Modena and the three tenors concerts. Because of that many people think he was not professional enough. Almost a popular singer... He sang opera for 40 years... This way !!!

Pavarotti gave such a gift to the world, that I discount those late concerts, for he was a human, to be forgiven for finding it so hard to let go of the fame and adulation he had had during the years of his very great singing. My only disappointment here is that many who only heard him in those late concerts missed what a glorious and beautiful voice he had during his prime.
