TD is the GOAT in that slot- its an animation scaler- hands down the best if you are in shotgun range you are in TD range!
Found verdict is not better, quick access sling is a must have even over adept handling mod. A sudden death with barrel shroud, range masterwork and accurized has the same range and same handling with threat detector while also having additional animation scaler as well as the extra damage from the origin trait. So it depends if you rather have slideshot for more range or threat detector for handling scaler so it’s very very close. But who cares matador goes brrrrrrrrrrrr.
Aggressives are just in a rough spot right now with conditional finality being better in literally every way, as well as countering the well/bubble and overshield meta.
I try switching for diversity but almost instantly come back to it lol
And precisions are better tbh
Even if conditional didn't have the anti-super abilities, the 95 handling is hard to give up. Feels so good
Problem with legendary pellet shotguns is Precision Frames just have the perfect pellet spread so there's literally no point using Aggressive or Lightweight.
Imperial Decree is better than Conditional in terms of swap/stow speed and OHK range, but it doesn't have the super shutdown capabilities of CF. Also, for it to have faster stow/ready speed, you need to be on Warlock with Ophidian, it will always be slower on other classes unless you have Thread of Ascent, Dragon's Shadow or Speedloader Slacks activated. Might be some other Handling buffs I'm missing.

Idk SayWeinerBruh, to me, this is one of those guns that just feels good to use and works for me, EC and Opening Shot on Arc.
It was definitely much better prior to the predictive pattern changes but it still feels good to use on console at least.
I think it can be justified if you play arc! But most people shouldn’t use this imo since it’s class specific anyways

Didn’t realize how much of a star monster found verdict is. Used the compare feature on D2 foundry and it outclasses literally every other aggressive frame shotgun

I saw a video at some point that showed that ADS, especially with aggressive frame shotguns, massively lowers your range. I’m not sure if it’s been patched since I saw it but that was a thing

I have max range and OS with both "'elem. cap." and "threat set" and I totally agree; nothing still compares, if I gotta use a shottie, it's Conditional.
Yeah I only want this for arc titan tbh. There isn't many aggressive shottys that I like in the energy slot. So I can enjoy the oh so many kinetic slot weapon options I have.
There was some interesting info that came out recently. Opening shot on special weapons only provides half of its benefits according to Merculese (a dev on the weapons team and pvp strike team). He recently said this on the firing range podcast. Opening shot gives less range than fragile focus, however fragile focus does not give you aim assist. Just some food for thought in regards to shotgun rolls.
I also believe aggressive were killing further when the initial shotgun changes came out that made their pellet spread set. This is referring to a table I recently saw, I did not test it myself or anything. Since I found out about the opening shot thing, I tried a mindbenders with corkscrew rifling, accurized, threat detector, fragile focus, handling masterwork and handling mod. It ended up being very consistent. I get fragile focus for multiple shots assuming I have the health for it still which is also nice. I also never got a good matador nor do I want to farm for one anymore so maybe I'm coping a bit lol.
All this info has been on d2foundry and DIM for awhile, so it's not new information given by that podcast. Opening shot gives 13 range, 10 aim assist, and some cone bs on specials. Precisions are more consistent because they have a spread shaped more like a player making them easier to land more pellets. Aggressives have a wider horizontal spread making you need to be perfectly dead center to kill which is hard to do on a fast moving target. That testing was done on a player standing perfectly still and the trade-off of ~.2m of ohk range doesn't make up for the consistency of the precision's pellet spread.
@@Mr_Ruhl Missed that the info was on d2foundry. When turning on a perk it still displays primary stats on special weapons (the 25 range and whatnot). I kinda like that you're rewarded for being more accurate with aggressive shotguns, but yeah you make a good point about precision shotguns being more consistent.
@@HeyJack-kl5yj yeah, it displays the full benefits in the stat bars on D2foundry which probably is what lead to people not realizing, but if you read the perk description it states the 50% reduction. Hopefully they fix it for special weapons.
matador also doesn’t feel very consistent, there’s moments where i completely whiff my shots and I’m certain it should’ve killed, I feel they may have shadow nerfed shotguns tbh, even conditional whiffs and doesn’t give out a ohk nvm being in the air with it.
The scope on it takes a little getting used to, you usually need to aim a little lower than you think. Im farming for elemental opening shot roll. Slide elemental was my go to old version in 6s on arc. Aggressives are still better against damage resist and overshields. up close they can be more forgiving.
this shoutgun straight up feels like it has 3 or 4 less pellets than other agg frames

My PC was only like 1000 dollars and runs pretty well for something that’s pre built but it’s my first PC so I’m not familiar with what is considered good specs and equipment so I’m curious as to what y’all think would be an optimal setup for keeping the PC at optimal speeds while staying cool if you’re running it for several hours at a time?
In my opinion on console it feels great, but I also just like the feel of aggressive shotties over all the others so ig its preference on this one

My roll isnt the best but i pulled rifled barrel, assault mag, ele cap and barrel constrictor and honestly it has to be the most consistent shotgun ive ever used other than pre nerf felwinters

Unfortunately, this gun's made even worse by the recent learning that Opening Shot provides only half the bonuses on special weapons so even if you go all in on range with Smallbore, Accurized, and a Range MW, you still only have 64 range.

It doesn't tighten the spread or increase the range at all. Many people have access to the craftable Imperial Decree aggressive frame w\ threat detector and opening shot but you rarely see it being used, why is that? Most good players will take a 4\5 matador, fractethyst, or retold over using even a 5\5 aggressive with even enhanced threat detector and enhanced opening shot! Aggressives are inferior, end of story.

Yea, I dont know what they did to Aggressives lately they dont feel as consistant. I was going through my vault and found an amazing roll of mindbenders adept (Corkscrew, accurized, threat detector, fragile focus) and thought surely this must be great now. It was so inconsistent, just dont get it.
