Hearing this story I can’t stop thinking about all the lives that were taken including poor little Ezra who was 9. All the people that stepped on him and no one helped him being separated from his dad. It’s heartbreaking 💔

@@sugarhill15 erm no it isn't..the people at the back had no idea what was going on at the front and it's so insulting that people are ignorant about the science of crowd crushes and then choose to blame the victims.. whomever chose the layout of the general admission area is at fault. Same thing with Hillsborough people blamed the victims, ask yourself why live nation are being sued and not everyone in the crowd. Nobody in the crowd could have helped Ezra because they couldn't move, imagine how survivors feel seeing comments like this..its so disrespectful

    • @sugarhill15
      @sugarhill15 Před 2 lety +5

@@jimmyobrien243 I'm not blaming the victims. There are many reasons why that tragedy happened. But to pretend a crowd surge isn't part of the reason is dismissive. I've looked at other videos. Ezra's Dad literally said he was compressed from the weight of the crowd. The paramedic that made those tik tok's talked about the crowd. I'm sure non of the people that pushed wanted this to happened but it did. And I myself have gone to many general admission concerts and I've experienced this obviously not to this extent. This is a lesson to people when they go out you have to be satisfied where you're standing you can't force your way up to the front. Had they not had that barricade situation your right people would have been able to spread out. But barricades are not unusual at events like this.

@@dominicatwood "A drowning man will drag you down if you let them" -John Connolly
I know that may sound super insensitive and crass to some, but it's a well know quote for a reason. You HAD to make more life and death decisions in that hour than most will in a lifetime. Sadly it meant not being able to help others and also being forceful when they were trying to take you down with them, both were the right call, especially being on your own.
Make no mistake, those people were drowning on dry land, but instead of water depriving them of oxygen it was being crushed, but you were there, I don't have to tell you this.
I would suggest sooner rather than later you speak with a counselor that specializes in PTSD and survivors guilt. You may not have any signs now, or ever hopefully, but best to stay on top of it. I have seen it destroy amazingly beautiful strong people.
You are a natural storyteller and very good at it. Not sure what your career path is, but may I suggest writing? You really do have a knack for storytelling and a editor can help you with the rest. Would love to know if that interest you at all.
No matter what, thank you for your bravery and courage. It took heaps of both to be so honest with your experience. Sending love and light your way today and always. ❤ -A

If you feel guilty, just remember in an airplane crash you need to put your mask on first. It’s human. People who blame the crowd are ignorant because there’s a lot of research on crowd behavior vs. individual behavior. This stuff was easily predictable to those who know. And they’re the ones who should feel guilty - the ones who understood the risk and decided to make money instead. You weren’t one of those. None of the crowd was.

Thank you for sharing this. My heart goes out to you. Some of those images are horrifying, esp. the hands reaching like from the grave and the guy who wrapped his arm around you. And being at a disadvantage due to having a shorter stature. Your description reminds me of someone struggling not to drown, pushing another person down to raise your own head to get air. It is tragic that you were put in that situation. It should not have happened. This is definite fuel for PTSD and survivor's guilt. Dominick thank you for sharing this. Thank you for your full transparency. I've seen so many accounts and all the different footage that had come out. YOU DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER.
I may not have been there but I know.what a human stampede will do to people and it is probably one of the most traumatic events that can happen.
I wish the media wasn't misrepresenting how bad the concert was.
You must have survivers guilt and I know you had to make difficult decisions to make it out alive but when a human being is put into fight or fight mode, you make the best decisions to preserve your life. I wanna repeat YOU DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER. I hope you and your GF are adjusting okay, my prayers are our for you 💓

I can’t believe how insanely horrible this event was. I’m grateful that you are sharing your story. Those of us who weren’t there can only imagine what you went through. It sounds worse than any nightmare. Please keep speaking out. Someone needs to be help responsible! Travis Scott, the concert promoters, whoever designed the space the way they did, whoever was in charge of hiring adequate security and medical personnel. This was an enormous failure when it comes to public safety. Lots of people should have seen this coming.

I'm so sorry you and all of those other 50,000+ people had to go through this. I've been to many outdoor rock concerts, Metallica, slayer, Iron maiden type concerts... Where you expect injuries and fights to break out. And you're so right that there is a certain level of danger and chaos you sign up for when you go to these shows. But what y'all went through is not the thing you expect when you are going to ANY concert! Death can happen any time yes, but this shouldn't have been! I'm holding you and all the others in my heart and praying you all find the strength you need to get through the aftermath of all of this! 💜 Thank you for sharing your experiences from that night. Please see a counselor, I have PTSD, it really creeps up on you, you don’t know how much you are affected until you are really struggling. I thought I was dealing well for a while but in reality it was the slow progression of my PTSD. If I could go back, I’d have started therapy right away. I just wanted to share that with you, please go to a counselor to help process all this, you deserve that. Prayers for you brother

Thank you for calmly detailing your experience, especially as an avid, experienced concert goer. People are supposed to pick up those who fall. Either his fans were too young to know this, too lit up, or too cooped up for a year to care. Also sounds like the heat. The bass, the setup and the utter disposal of all safety planning had something to do with it.
Without question Live Nation played an equal role in this to Travis Scott. Just a hurricane of carelessness and lack of forethought..
I hope this guys testimony is played in court, for the survivors sake.
No one going to a concert should come out as a literal survivor.
