Thank goodness that you found a suitable site to make camp. Get some grub and have a kip, and tomorrow brings a new day ; hopefully with better weather, although light drizzle can be refreshing - as long as it isn't 'wet' drizzle. Cheers ! Sheffield South Yorkshire.
Aww, that's so nice to hear :) That comment put a smile on my face! Really happy that you're enjoying the videos! Thank you so so much for your support, that really makes a difference :) Thank you!
Great stretch of the coast path but tough! Mouthmill great for seeing dolphins! The point at 18.28 is where I proposed to my girlfriend about 1 month before you did this walk. .
Hello Elli, nice to hear from you again! While hiking is surely satisfying to look back sometimestimes, but the motivation always comes always out of that which is in front of you. With such a long journey, you often have to make a decision very quickly. A decision - once made - is always the right one - in the moment of the decision - and looking back is not helpful. So keep your head up and keep going! All the best! 😊
So nice seeing you so excited and happy truly the outdoors are the best thing. Great to see Otto taking you to his shop 😂 found over the years that hikers all reach out helping with places to stay or just helping . All hiker's make faults but that's a part of hiking , done it many times like everyone. Looking good both , best medicine is your coffee 👍. Take care awesome Elli and little Superdog Otto
Yes, that's so true! There's such a great hiking community with people sharing advice and helping with everything :) That's so special, even more when you're "far" away from home :) Thank you so much for following along!
Danke Elli. Ein weiteres tolles Video. (I hope that translates well 🤔) I remember the sea mist. Always clammy and spooky & a very different coastline. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to the next section. Very inspiring 👍🏻
It does translate well ;) Thank you so much for your support and encouragement! Yes, so true - the sea mist is weird. Normally you can see for miles and miles out to the sea or the coastline ahead and suddenly nothing, just a white wall a few metres from you..... 😅🙈
It really was ;) Luckily there are not that many on the northern coast of Devon and Cornwall. Not taking a ferry on the south coast would have been a whole different story with so many river crossing (Salcombe, Wembury, Teignmouth, Exmouth, Plymouth, Polruan,......) 😂 Was happy that I only had a few :)
HI Elli and the World's most famous hiker Otto. Almost missed this one as I didn't get any notification BLOODY YT Another fantastic post 👏 and as I love the water so much this one was extremely fun to watch. I have a great Tip for you Elli for your next adventure. When you find a great spot to pitch for the night STOP THERE hehe Take care 😋✌️
Awww, thank you! hahahaha, yes I will ;) As I live very far from the sea, it's really special for me to walk along the coast the whole day. I love it so much :)
Arrhh Ellie you were so close to Peppercombe Coach House when you couldn’t find a camping spot! It’s basically a bothy, about a mile or two short of Bucks Mills.
There is an "open" area just next to it (same building), I think that's always unlocked. Basically just a covered seating area with a bench. I've seen people camp/sleep there....
I knoooooow ;) But I somehow mixed up the distances.... I thought there was something else between Abbotsham Cliffs and Peppercombe... And there was - that one spot where I stayed, but nothing else. It was only about 2 miles from Peppercombe but I think I didn't eat enough that day and was suddenly so low on energy and really exhausted which is why it was such a "big" thing not finding a spot...
@@ellihikes yeah not too many spots along that section and it’s very hard going! I was at similar point where I’d done about 25 miles at the end of day and was worried I wouldn’t make it to the coach house. Was glad when I got there

Going up and down the estuary must have been a pain.
Love the more intimate woodland parts.

I’ve finally caught up with all your videos. Looking forward to the rest of the journey :)
Aww, thank you so much! That really means a lot :)

At £40 a night!? It's the usual National Trust exclusionist policy 😡

@@Daytona2 you’re getting confused. It doesn’t cost anything. It’s an old coach house that offers nothing but four walls and a roof.
