No, some barbershops are open. I saw at least 3 at Beijing West Road (around People's Square), some small stores are also open, Raffle City and IAPM were also open.

Try Chinese game shows and quiz shows it's really impressive. Aim for the ones which teach kids because our Chinese sucks that badly.
The adult one's im just ... wow i've only scratched the surface of so much literature...
the game shows are not stupid loud money chasing events. they are all basically "who is smartest".

There are some questions that I would like to ask laoshi men. I really like watching 武侠 series. I think it's one of the fun ways to learn mandarin. There are some phrases that often hear from those series, like :非也，后会有期，实不相瞒，告辞，过目，感激不尽，请三思. My questions is : are young chinese nowadays still using this phrases in everyday conversation? In other words, will people think that I am old fashioned OR even awkward if I use those phrases to communicate daily now?

It's good that I found go east mandarin beyond class channel. 不然的话我的汉语会太土了，因为看太多武侠片。Now I can learn a lot of mandarin slangs that can be used nowadays 😀，and the pinyin really helps me a lot. Since I found this channel 2 weeks ago, I watch it everyday. 我对 Ellie & Michael 感激不尽， hmm...不不不，我应该说： 比心😅
Dialects: Cantonese is even prettier than Mandarin. But yeah, learn Mandarin first; it will make learning other dialects sooo much easier!
