To this day, I’m still not sure what they wanted to do with Tina. For someone from the winner circle, you’d expect them to highlight her in the challenges a lot and make her look like a strong competitor. But instead they keep her safe for the first half of the season, then absolutely rob her in the rusical where she had no business being low, then they throw Denali, a queen with a win, under the bus in order to save her, just to eliminate her the very next week when she didn’t even deserve to be in the bottom.
I know a lot of people divide that season by winners/losers circles, but there was a very clear middle group of winners they didn’t care about (LaLa, Tina, and Elliott)
@@RuPaulsDragRaceRejudgedEliott wasn’t really part of the winner circle since she lost the premiere lip sync. As for Lala, I don’t think they didn’t care about her, it’s just that she was a real mess on season 13 and wasn’t as polished as we now know her to be.
I feel like they wanted a Tina vs Rose storyline, but then they should’ve put them together to lipsync in the first episode. And they cared more about Rose and Jan.

@@newsnipecat8337 they wanted her and denali to have the showmance thing like with how vanjie and brooke were on S11, but Rose and Denali were just clearly good friends and rose was not giving as much storyline for it and it ended up with her being a strong player making top 4 and denali being robbed because of someone else. Both Queens I feel like have a story they can bring back on all stars but more denali than rose as of right now.
I feel like Marcia x3 is a solid example of the curse. The edit seemed to me like it was setting up for a double save after the boss b lip sync, and then not getting one seemed odd. Then seeing the rusical next ep made a lot more sense, they wanted her out because she didn’t have a major storyline and likely would’ve done very well. Although I don’t think she did as good in the competition, being safe for like ten episodes in a row LOL
I'm sick of "opp, she gave it a storyline". Two too many queens were saved by it in season 14 in particular.
She refused or was unable, not sure about that, to evolve, and that's what kills you in TV. Nothing is mroe boring in reality tv than stagnation.

Yeah. The 7th place curse was different in older seasons: It's mostly where early lip sync assassins or queens who are coasting in the challenges went home. It's also sometimes unlucky:
- Early Lipsync Assassins Finally Beaten: Akashia, Sahara, Delta Work, TKB, Vixen
- Coasting in the Challenges: Ivy, Miss Fame, Robbie
- Unlucky Queens: Willam, Valentina
Ivy? coasting???? yeah she did have a LOW streak in the end but she overall had way more stand out perfomances rather than "meh ones" lmfao
Valentina and Willam made their own luck. If anything it should be self destructive queens (although Willam wanted to go home because she had another gig).
Ivy could’ve easily make it to top 4 or 3, she did better than Detox overall and she missed challenges she would’ve been great in
i agree that Ivy had a good run on the season but based on the critiques and the edit she is seen as a coaster

Widow Vondu was greatly mistreated- she could've won Gays Anatomy over Sherry and was in the top half for me in the debate challenge but sent home to save the white fan faves- she's damn talented hope she does All Stars

After the DV situation, drag race would be very irresponsible to cast her.
Widow and Brita were probably the only queens that were hurt by Sherry being there; Brita was made into the new villain, and Widow was sacrificed to boost Sherry more than once.
I’d say Marcia 3x is definitely a victim of the curse since her lipsync was the most double shantay performance of maybe all time and she was still eliminated

She did great but Anetra clearly beat her, definitely not an all-timer
the latter half of season 16 was just plain weird. they used mhi’ya and then morphine to just take out all the people they didn’t want in the (very obvious) top 4 they had probably picked from the third episode.
5th place is even more cursed than 7th usually because of the makeover challenge. It's production's way of choosing top 4. Can you make video on 5th place curse

Mhi'ya might be the cursed 7th queen, but she broke so many lip sync curses of the season and is regarded as one of the lip sync assassin by some, so I’d say that was pretty good
Something about Mhiya is that at that point of the competition she was out of steam. Her designer ghosting her, constantly being in the bottom despite her trying, 3 design challenges.. so she said, Dawn deserved to be there more and if she ended up in the bottom with her, Mhiya would let Dawn win.

The opposite for me, this is the first year I’m going online to see what the drag community says about RPDR, which I’ve casually watched, and I had to google who was in the cast to remember who isn’t being mentioned.

I truly do believe the leak of the supposed person who used to work with drag race, because of what they said. Which was that normally the producers have an idea of what they want their final 6 to be, and let them hash it out to the end. So, it makes sense why they are always taken at 7th.
I could see that being true, but assuming you’re talking about the Reddit AMA, I don’t believe it in general. It sounds mostly correct, but there’s a few answers involving upcoming seasons that haven’t really matched with reality

I considered it, but she never struggled before her elimination and her elimination was fair IMO
Was the episode/challenge fair though? The stand up challenge is imo one of the hardest on drag race and they made it much more difficult for one queen specifically. This is such speculation but what if they switched the order of the challenges so the stand up would get Marcia out. The only evidence I have is the odd number of queens but that could just be for the twist or whatever. It's also debunked because of the guest judge but it's a nice what if
@@floraflowergardenthe episode challenge Valentina went out on was incredibly fair. Other teams did amazing and she and Nina were unprepared when everyone else was, and the trailer they made was the least interesting. And she said herself she didn't think she needed to learn the lip sync song so it's absolutely fair she went.

She should've been in the finale, I'll say it, over Bosco and maybe Daya Betty.

Honestly I don't think I've ever been as pissed by production as when they decided to screw over Shuga... she was my absolute favourite of the cast and I was rooting for her so hard
I love Deja's makeup so much.
Also Mhi'ya has said that if Dawn was in the bottom with her for the presentations she would've walked out i believe

Sahara (btm 3 times, 1 win) an lip sync slayer but not in the storyline sadly
Willem (btm 1 time, 1 win) won and was in the edit, but disqualified
Ivy (btm 1 time, 1 win) Ivy was one of thee most talented girls there and placed high alot and had amazing runways but they tossed her because she didnt make drama much, unlike the others.
Trinity (3 btms 0 wins) despite her recent high placements and drama with Bianca they put her in the bottom with Adore, probably the only one left in the cast who could beat in Vibeology, maybe joslyn could of but idk why she wasnt in the bottom with her abortion question, like tkb was an amazjng lip syncer and going up in the comp

Same software, but now I have animations instead of just a slideshow I talk over. Do you like it?
@@RuPaulsDragRaceRejudged I like the movement and animation more but rn it feels a lil clunky; maybe you could keep like the diagrams on top while the backgrounds match the visuals or you have it swap between the like charts and animations

i was so confused during the s12 presidential debate. i thought WVD was very funny. not even the editing and the crappy judging could convince me that she was not funny
I was always in weird boat with that. I never thought she should’ve been in the bottom, but I never saw what people saw in her performance. She wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t doing it for me

Megami was terrible in the flowers lip sync, she completely missed the point of the song while Mhi’ya embodied it perfectly
I loved Megami's other lip syncs but not this one. I would say she was close to winning the LalapaRuzza
