- Howzit guys. Today we are trying authentic Indian food (that is food from India - not the South African curry). The restaurant is Palki and it is based in Durban. We have the best of both cuisines - North and South India - and we decided to go for the traditional Thali (a platter of several dishes to create a balanced meal).

Being from India we have variety of food for breakfast,lunch ,tiffin & dinner .We can find the difference from state to state even in India.

👍this was a nice vid to watch I would not know where would be the best places as such to eat in JHB, as for gulab jamun I am a die hard lover of our Durban style ones I hate the heavy syrup ones why make, ours are the best.

I suggest you should try their authentic South Indian dishes their dosas onion uttapam vada sambar idli sambar mendu vada rasam. Madras fish curry fish chettinad payasam

Do they have options for people who dont eat animals?
Yes a variety in the veg thali and other vegetarian dishes

Terrible experience at palki the service was very poor the host the gentlemen just was in a rush to get us out I wouldn't recommend this place the service is poor and over price meals for it to be an own house u expect better service .u rather go to umhlanga and have a better meal
