    My great grandfather was a rich man and a public works contractor under the British in India back in the 1940s. When I was a child my father used to tell me that his grandfather which is my great grandfather had horses for him and his assistants. My grandfather lost everything and my Dad grew up in poverty. So we lost the lineage of rearing horses. When God blessed my father to be a somebody and as a young child listening to bedtime stories of my great grandfather, I would ask if I can also own horses but he told me not yet since it is hard and expensive to keep horses. Since then it was a childhood dream for me to own my first horse.Almost thirty years have passed by.....If God willing I will get one in the future...

      When you love horses you find a way to be around them in any way..I grew up not poor but not wealthy enough to have a horse, our neighbours took me for my 1st lessons at 5 yrs and I've ridden every day for 41 years since..when they moved away I would cycle to a riding school for 2 house there and 2 hours back every single Saturday and Sunday, id have the price of 1 lesson but I would work all day so they would give the kids who helped out a free lesson ..and we got other opportunities to ride as we got better
      .I was small but a strong rider so could handle ponies who were giving less experienced riders trouble..mind I could handle any big horse as well..my last horse was stolen but I exercise a friends horse these days..

    I was diagnosed with autism. Besides my childhood stallion as one of my first teachers Mr. Brannaman was one of my first human horse mentors. The inspiration for "The Horse Whisperer". Few can sit a horse like Mr. Buck Brannaman. Buck is one of the most humane, kind, authentic and genuine human beings on the planet. Thank you for including females in your horse world documentary because they are people too. Spanish derived natural horsemanship has its place to make it easier for the average person to learn. Then there are the maestros like Ali Al Ameri a true horse master, beyond what most can comprehend or understand. Klaus Hempling, Carolyn Resnick, the Pignon brothers, Nevsorov...they have linked into the world beyond natural horsemanship. "The horse knows if you know and he knows if you don't know." Ray Hunt. It is as someone wrote below---love transcends all perceived differences. The horse can show us the way to a better world for all if we will only listen. Namascar everyone.

      Ken Hall so true. Unfortunately, politicians are not really interested in uniting people.
      One example: Many people all over the world love ballet. Bolshoi Prima Ballerina 🩰 Olga Smirnova from Moscow was invited as a star guest to a ballet gala in New York. The US administration denied her a visa because she is Russian, and they have new regulations to keep possible immigrants out of the country. Such things never even happened during the worst times of Cold War.
      People who love arts, sports, nature or horses (in this case) want to come together and exchange their culture. But some xenophobic governments won‘t let them and turn everything into politics etc. We should not let them do this!

I got to go and if my dad would have had the money I would have rode for hours. Anyway I had to wait till I was working and had the money for a horse and to pay the board bill. Sometimes horses die of colic. It can kill a horse very quickly, even if they are treated by a vet. And you are in the West, huh? Things are different in Arabia. Usually there, it's sand colic, which cannot be as easily treated as wind colic, and there is sometimes not the access to Western Veterinary Medicine especially if you are a child, and it's your horse, and you will have to pay the bill...

    @doberman1ism Před 3 lety

    I have wanted a horse ever since I was a little girl. I begged my mother for a horse but she said the city would not allow us to have a horse. So I collected statues of horses 🐎. I still have them. Every picture of a horse 🐴 that was in a newspaper or a magazine I would cut out and put into a scrap book. I also love dogs. I have had dogs all of my life and my last four dogs have been Doberman Pinchers.
    I fell in love with the Doberman’s the first time I saw one running. It was so fast and graceful and beautiful and reminded me of a race horse 🏇. The research that I have done about the Doberman Pinchers said that the Doberman is the only dog that is very similar to an equine.
    So I may not have a horse but I have my wonderful Doberman Pinchers in my life. When it was time for them to pass on I would lie down on the floor with them and hold them in my arms until they fell sound asleep and crossed over into paradise and the happy hunting ground. If I had a horse I would’ve brought them into my bedroom and held the horse until he passed away. I understand that type of deep love for an animal. I am so impressed with the love and care that Tariq has for his 🐎 horses. Thank you for the beautiful video and sharing your culture with me.

    Can colic not be detected early enough and treated by a vet?

    • @mathildewesendonck7225
      @mathildewesendonck7225 Před 4 lety

      Stubborn Mule it’s hard to detect it early, because horses are used not to show symptoms too much. In nature, they have to keep moving with the herd and be able to run and flee at any time when there is danger. Colic can also develop very fast, like when the bowl twists. The gut of a horse is soo long that it can happen easily. Or food gets stuck somewhere and causes gas, etc.

These hair as well as the hair at eyes and in ears is used to feel the distance to any thing such as feeding through, doors, fences etc. and in ears to protect the ear against dirt and so on. In Europe it is forbidden and is punished as horse ( animal ) cruelty for good reasons. Please don't do this, think about it, if you love horses and as a well respected horse whisperer.

    • @PsychicIsaacs
      @PsychicIsaacs Před 3 lety

      @Jandolin Marks I am a horsewoman and a horse breaker. Horses like to learn tricks. They are highly intelligent and sometimes after you teach a horse a trick, it will do it on its own, to have fun and entertain itself. And many of these "tricks" have a historical basis. Horses to the ancient Arabs were a weapon of war, so they were taught to kick, to be a weapon, and also to rear, to trample their foes. Also, when a horse is properly broken, it likes to be ridden. When they are getting tacked up and they know they are going to work, they get excited sometimes and start to paw at the ground, because they want to go (gallop, in Arabic the word for "go fast" is galab). This man is a very fine and compassionate horseman. I wish that every horseman was exactly like him.

    The longer it went on the weirder it got. How do you not know your father has a horse background? Made up story? Probably.

    Women competing like that is weird. Learning to ride is ok but acting like a man and the feminist overtures is plain weird. No wonder the horse women shown here are mostly weirdos

      In eu there're more women riders than men, it's not weird, I think you're just not used to it.
