- The Fan Carpet's Darryl Griffiths and Anthony Green took to the Cineworld in Birmingham for the World Premiere of the first episode from Peaky Blinders, series 2.
Darryl spoke to Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, newcomer Charlotte Riley and Creator Steven Knight.
The Peaky Blinders cast, that includes Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle and Joe Cole, will be joined by Tom Hardy, Noah Taylor and Charlotte Riley for the second series which will see the family expand their empire as the 1920s begin to roar.

That's the first ever interview of Cillian Murphy I've ever seen and i realised that he changed his voice for the role, damn, what a phenomenal actor.

I think it's ironic Cillian Murphy being Irish speaks to Sam Neil in a Brummy accent and Sam Neil being English speaks back to him in an Irish accent!

Cillian Murphy, Helen McRory, Tom Hardy, Charlotte Riley…… this show is so full of cool actors it’s no wonder the show is as cool as it is. Peaky Blinders is the only show to ever get close to The Wire in my book. I really feel like those are the best two shows ever made.

Yeah, you're right actually. All I saw were the titles saying that he was supposed to "star" in it, but nothing that explicitly stated for Tommy. However, I am sure that I read somewhere he was considered for the role of Tommy, but I can't remember where.

best program on tv ever , for me this is up there with the sopranos and breaking bad , truly magnificent my only critisisim is that it should be at least 10 episodes per season so its not so rushed and we get to learn/more about the story at hand, cant wait for season 4 , how is tommy gonna gain his familys trust back ???

The Brits make the best film, whether television or movies. They stand head and shoulders above Hollywood.
My theory is Anglo-Saxon Americans are a bunch of ignorant mongrels raised on soy, corn, and processed, genetically-modified garbage food, while Europeans are thoroughbreds with healthier diets, better education and they just look clean and potty-trained compared to Americans. I truly believe, on the whole, Europeans have better functioning brains and they're just healthier in general, which translates to more creativity, clearer thinking, etc.

It's odd. I've seen a good few comments about Cillian being standoffish and arrogant because he sometimes 'zones out' but most of the time he's happy, relaxed and engaged. It's like folks are setting him up for a fall.
