Just gonna sand it! I have been wanting a belt sander for a while, trouble is I don't have the parts collected to build an industrial one.
So stuck for choice with a home gamer one I picked up the ryobi.
Lets let her rip.

You can buy a hook and loop conversion disc for the circular disc. This will allow you you to use normal 150mm sanding discs and change grits to your heart's content rather than melting the bloody glue and stripping it off of the disc every few weeks.
Adjust your belt, it's flying off to the side. Adjust the grey knob until it stays and doesn't fly off to either side. I came to youtube to figure out why mine was doing the same thing. I noticed yours has/had (not sure if you've fixed it) the same problem. Another youtube video showed me how to do it and just thought I would stop by and make the comment.
Sergio Cordova good looking out mate! Thanks for the tip. I got it dialled in now
a nice coat of grey, she'll look proper
Hi mate im finding that the belt was getting loose...?
I changed the belt and adjusted it...
Is their another way you can tighten it?Cheers JJay
Dude, it's a review for a belt sander, chill out. On to the next video
Thanks
Can I use the sandpaper wet? Thanks
Howd you go with the knife making with the sander. I was going to buy one for the same thing.
It went well, I recomend doing as much shaping with other tools because it does not have the grunt of a big belt sander but it is a huge step up from a grinder and I was able to get good results
Just watched both the vids. Top stuff mate
Should set your tracking from start up mate >>>>
He's an idiot..should have read instructions first then wouldn't also have called the work stopping plate another table.
Where did you get the green toolbox desk organizer?
Its awesome isn't it. Its a Kincrome contour mini, I'm not sure if they are still selling them, I got it as runout stock

I know this video is over a year old, so what do you think? Do you still have it? If so do you like it?
It’s great as an entry, have been able to do anything I need.
Not as powerful as huge belt sander but gets the job done
@@Finntheweekendwarrior Excellent! Thanks for the quick reply bro! I build and repair guitars for a living and my trusty old delta is finally dying on me. I just need something small for wood and this seems perfect for what I need at a good price to! Thanks again man... I want one.
Is this thing still alive?
It is
this belt sander has been the worst tool purchase i've ever made =D maybe i got monday model. i'm using it to sand metals. the whole thing is so unstable, the upper part wobbles a lot when it's on. this belt sander has 3 legs which is weird because it has square bottom. legs causes it to wobble a bit but that's easily fixable by mounting it to a table. all screw heads were broken in the machine from factory so it was a bitch to take apart to inspect motor and wiring. inside of the machine there was this puffy oily dust everywhere, where did it come from. the amount was similar of a 1.5L soda bottle so there was a lot! switch wiring is also done by chinese children or something. 20 wires going everywhere what is going on. looks like it was wired by someone just randomly adding wires and trying does it turn on.
also when you tighten the screw to fix the belt tilting, it ripped a piece of the frame off so it cannot be secured no more. get a 2 x 72 belt grinder as an investment and you'll be happy.
I have had decent results with mine, going in I did not expect a lot from the machine though, works well for knife making and rounding out some stock.
It’s not a good machine, but it’s better than nothing if you know it’s limits
@@Finntheweekendwarrior knife making? interesting. i'm actually planning to try to convert this to a knife grinder. i'll just weld the belt guide to upwards position so it doesn't shake so much. have to build a decent work rest too.. have you opened the sides for bevel grinding? i was also thinking of using only 2" belts with this.
@@cyzam hmm i wonder if 2in belt would give it a better faster spin less material to spin good idea.
I want to buy 1 pc what about cost
About 180 dollars I think
Sounds about right, I think it's around 214$ here in NZ. I've been looking for a belt sander in a "non industrial" price range and honestly, in the southern hemisphere the range of choice is this or...... nothing/a custom 4×74 4 point belt sander for 1,000's or maybe even 10,000's... there are so many products that we bearly get here. sharpening stones for instance, there are 2 to choose from among all our hardware stores :( it sucks
Uno che usa l'ascia per aprire una scatola di cartone non è normale
Normale è per le persone a cui manca il coraggio!
You skipped a lot
This doesn’t make any fucking sense !!! Why don’t they just call this a non-mobile sander and the ones you could move around, mobile sanders !!! I don’t understand why they have the same damn name !!!
I can hardly understand a word you are saying and I live in Texas speaking "perfect" Texas accented English. At least for me, that is. I'm sure it's a good video, but I just could not understand you.
His accent isn't hard to understand at all...
Your English writing ain’t so good as well lol
Dude, you need to get out more. There's a world outside the US.
