Thanks for the reaction and the request. These are the hidden gemms that I once loved so much and listened to so many times. YT was just starting out, so we didn't make the cut between Away and basically Wish I Had an Angel. Beautiful song

Well said, haunting. Lappi, Lagoon...some songs had this dark tune, the loneliness seeping.
Can confirm that connecting with nature is a big part of the Finnish culture. A historical side note: when Finnish immigrants moved to Canada and the Northern US in the 19th century, the local Native peoples where shocked at how much our culture resembled theirs. One common point between our cultures was this idea that the forests are a shared resource that must be kept open to all and not simply fenced off into private domains. In Finland you can travel through and camp on private land (not in someone's yard, of course) as long as no material harm is done.
Same in Sweden.
The Lakota tribe told the officials that if even one Finn gets harmed, they will personally kill every single man responsible for it. That's...quite something.

It's a very sweet ballad. It's easy to look past tracks like "Away", as they got overshadowed by the more bombastic songs. Even in that "Over The Hills And Far Away" EP, Away is still not even the best ballad, as "Sleepwalker" is much better. But it is still a very pretty track, very ethereal and soothing.
Another nice one is "Lagoon". It's not an exact masterpiece but the sound is very unique. I used to listen to it a lot when pondering about life in general.
