It’s fun when they go after each other at times. It’s nice when sports talk isn’t just robotic agreement to avoid conflict. A bit of disagreement is nice when it’s respectful and the analysts can move past it with each other versus a situation like Skip and Shannon evolved into and basically killed a show that was pretty entertaining most of the time. The Bills got 4 years of prime Diggs 400+ rec, 5200+yds, 42TD's and traded a 30+ wr for a 2nd rnd pick. Bears gave a 4th rnd for Keenan Allen, Clev gave a 5th for Amari Cooper. Mike talks as a guy who has never never been in a football locker room.

Listen to NFL Films Greg Cosell, according to the film, Diggs is no longer a #1 WR. The Bills got a #2 (and probably a fairly high #2 since it will be from the Vikings) which is nice compensation. He will still be productive, just not a #1. Bills got out a year early rather than a year too late. Good move Bills.

I agree mostly with Chris here, but to Mike's point the Bills did not understand who they were dealing with when they extended Diggs. Now they are gonna eat it.
I believe ppl are overreacting to this trade, and the Bills will be fine. We drafted Kincaid to be a Kelce like TE, and I believe this season is his big breakout year. I think they wanna run the ball more and use 2 TE sets, and they were successful doing that down the stretch and Diggs wasn't our most productive pass catcher going down the stretch. I think they'll pick up another role player WR in FA, and draft a top WR prospect and will be fine. I think Kincaid, Knox, Samuel, and Shakir will do more damage than ppl think.

@@bherylkuebler986 I think so too, he out produced Diggs down the stretch, he had around 400 yds just like Diggs, but he had a few TDs, Diggs didn't have, with way less targets than Diggs had. Diggs was facing double coverage, but I don't think he can beat double coverage as good as he used to. I bet we will draft a young WR1, and do most of our damage with 2 TE sets, and as the year progresses, the rook WR will slowly become more involved, like the Chiefs did with Rashee Rice. Ppl also sleeping on Kincaid, who I believe takes the #1 spot at TE next year finally surpassing Kelce. He will have the most opportunities of any TE this season, being their biggest pass catching threat now. They'll probably double him and leave our WRs single covered giving us another way to attack. I think this was a good move for the team. Call me crazy.

A super-talented person out for themselves introduces a level of chaos that negates their contributions. At lease you can coach up the mid-performer who wants to be there. Naturally, you want the reliable, all-in superstar above all.

I listen to a San Fran local radio station. They did an interview with Florio where he freaked out because they were overtalking him a little bit too much. He had a tantrum and implied he wouldn't do their show again. It was really awkward because they didn't mean it. He eventually came back on their show but he clearly has a huge pet peeve with being overtalked.

Something I’ve leaned from all the years I have worked in corporate America is it’s rarely a good thing when executives have discussions about certain employees. It means those certain employees are on the executives’ radar. And, being on an executive’s radar leading to discussions usually doesn’t turn out well for an employee. In the case of Stefon Diggs, that Brandon Beane is publicly discussing Stefon Diggs means he’s on Brandon’s radar. It’s the equivalent of a team publicly backing their head coach before dismissing him. I’m not surprised the Bills traded Diggs despite Beane’s public comments

NFL on NBC good commentary good analysis I think Mr. Mike Florio has it correct. Josh Allen didn’t want that confrontation with Stefon Diggs. If he’s the leader of the offense and the entire team. He doesn’t have to be all loud. He just called Stefan Diggs to the side said look, this is the way it has to be. If you don’t like it, then you can ask for trade. Those confrontations have to happen maybe not loud, but they have to happen because Josh is the leader of the offensive as well as the team.
For Florio even to insinuate that JA17 isn't a leader is stupendous ridiculous!!
