Let me tell you, I work at a coffee shop and people will LAUGH in my face when I ask them to wear their mask correctly. 1. I am obligated by the state of California to make sure the customers are safe. 2. These are grown adults laughing at me (I’m 22). Most of the time people’s children tell them to put their mask on. It’s so sad adults think it’s okay to be rude to customer service workers for asking very simple tasks. But thank you so much for addressing it and making me feel like I’m not the only one! ❤️

I'm in California too and it sucks waiting in line for my coffee or something and there ends up being a long delay because of an adult arguing with a cashier that definitely doesn't get paid enough for this stress 😩

Mask holes are the literal worst! I love wearing my mask I have anxiety in public and now people can’t see my face or me mouthing the words to the songs in my head and I just feel like I have a security blanket strapped to my face XD

I'm working retail for the first time this holiday season and I actually get super uncomfortable when people address me by my name. Maybe that's just a me thing though/I don't want to be working that job but I have to in the pandemic. I can see how it is intended as a nice gesture 🤗
Omg that’s so crazy that the man at the gas station was the one of the first people that you’ve encountered wearing their mask wrong!! I mean it’s good that almost everyone in your community is a competent adult! I live in Florida (smh) and everytime I go anywhere I’d say 40% of people are wearing a mask and 60% aren’t 😭
I live in central FL and work retail... it’s super intimidating to ask people to put on their masks, (or if they have a mask at all!!?) but I do it at least 3 time per shift.
It’s the same here in Wisconsin as well. That’s why our death rates are really high. Go Wisconsin!

I asked a woman the other day if she had a mask and she said “no I have asthma” I was like “oh really... me too.... you really do need a mask to shop in here” and she left and said “I guess they don’t care about people’s health here” LIKE??? MISS??? I too have asthma and I can wear a mask for 8 hours!!! Why are you OUT if your asthma is so bad can’t wear a mask???

Im in customer service and work face to face with clients every day. Especially during the thick of covid with so many stores sadly being forced to close, my place of business had to stay open. During my shifts i would be running off pure adrenaline and anxiety attacks just trying to get through, and although it sounds SO simple its so true that the kind clients who took the time to look at my name tag and address me by name to thank me meant so freaking much, and continues to make me feel like I’m doing something right.. :,)

I live in a small town in Texas and work retail while going to school. Since the pandemic has started people have been way ruder to me and my coworkers. A lot of the customers don't bother to wear a mask, which is bad enough. But they also, on a regular basis, stand within inches of my face or even shove me out of the way to grab something that they want. They do this to my coworkers too. It's insane. Your vlogmas videos are a haven for me during this stressful time though.

When Megan said that was a the first time she's seen someone wearing their mask improperly (@ 8:03) I was so shocked bc I live in Southern Oregon and everyone in my tiny hick town doesn't wear their mask or has their nose hanging out its so annoying. Crazy how different things are from her town to mine even though we're a few hours apart.

I used to be a Chipotle adiccctttt! Now I make the best burritos at home❤ I throw some tots in the oven, sautee onions and bell peppers, add beans and gardein beefless crumbles, tacos seasoning, salsa, and vegan cheese. All in one pan. Then I warm up the tortilla and putt the tots on it, all the stuffs, lettuce, whatever. No one asked but I've been making this like 4 times a week for the past 3 months and I need someone to know how delicious it is lol

We have a mask mandate as well in WI and no one is wearing them where I live. It’s sad because I don’t feel safe going ANYWHERE right now, especially because we have an elderly family member living here.
I am SHOCKED that this was the first time you have encountered an unmasked person. I need to move to Oregon!! I live in Louisiana and am scared to leave my house because wherever I go, 50% of people are unmasked and "proud."

however there are mask mandates in the 2 biggest cities and another . i live in one of the 2 biggest cities do have a city wide mask mandate and dude literally i went to Walmart a few days ago for groceries and saw so many ppl not wearing it properly or not at all . specifically a family of 3 the son and mom had chin diapers as you phrase it and the dad didn't have one at all, however ur supposed to have one at entrance so they either put it on only to get in or no one bothered to tell them . The mom was screaming at the kid and the dad was coughing and my anxiety went through the roof because i couldn't seem to get away from them .My anxiety than turned to anger after seeing them interact with 2 employees , neither 6 ft apart and neither of the 2 times were told to put on their masks. I was so angry i literally asked a manager about it and she said well unfortunately per Walmart's policy they can only ask at the front door they cant enforce it within the store??? and i have seen Walmart or other stores not let anyone in without a mask in the beginning's of covid . So what's the point of having a mandate if you cant enforce it in a store?? and than today i went to Target hoping it wasn't so bad and there was a man without his mask also coughing about !! like people i just want to do some Christmas shopping and i need fabric scissors please just wear a mask . UGH. I feel like everyone that lives in a republican state who deals with people who say wearing a mask is taking away their rights :(

I think you already said you were going to, but as a cellist and music educator, I would definitely suggest that you go to your local fiddle shop/luthier to get properly fitted.
