- The Next Gen Mustang will compete in the NASCAR Cup Series starting in the 2022 season. The new car, which has been under development for two years, is completely different from its predecessor - redesigned from the ground up. Unlike past versions, with the exterior being the only noticeable change, this model is built for the future, featuring flexibility for technological advances such as a hybrid or electric powertrain. The new race car more closely mirrors its Mustang production counterpart, which maintains its title as world’s best-selling sports car.

As a European I have literally 0 clue about NASCAR but wow, this is one mean looking race car o.O

I was doubtful about this generation of NASCAR racers but it actually does look like the production car! I hope it does well on the track.
I'm just happy that you can tell that it is Fords. Also I'm just getting into Nasacar and it looks like a promising future for Nasacar.
@@fluffyFaris So the current Gen 6 car has 5 lug nuts on each wheel and the sound that impact wrench makes on each lug... that's a sound I'm going to miss as the Gen 7 car will have single lug nut wheels

Not really for me. Seems like there trying as hard as they can to maintain speed and keep the cars stock-ish looking I mean the camaro looks like it’s straight from the factory.
@@DamianVega00 I think it still has the vibes not from the cars, but from a meaning perspective. This and the other cars are going to breathe new life into NASCAR compared to what is was for the past while.
I think they took inspiration from the movie

That’s cool it’s not just a plastic shell, looks like there are functional parts to the body of the car like the hood vents and defuser
I like the next GEN cars cars they actually have depth in the body style it doesn’t look like just a plastic cover with stickers of the real cars headlights and tail lights

The exhaust is now true dual rather than X pipe. So each side only has 4 cylinders making it more choppy
I’m 45 and own a 2020 gt500 and 20’ gt350. I grew up no $ in a trailer park and was the 1st generation really into gaming and now I’m 45 with $. I have my son who is into gaming way more than I ever was but he is also into cars and my Razor side x sides like I was so I’ll give Ford props for a very good commercial aimed at the next generation of car enthusiasts 👍👍👍. Every time he sees the new 2020 gt500 show up in an Xbox or PlayStation game he is so exited to show me and honestly I end up spending $200-$300 on ridiculous fake gaming $ upgrade to customize my car the way I want in real life. Ridiculous I know but is what it is
It's cool to see the stock cars looking almost like the cars they are supposed to be. Just like back in the day when they were the actual cars.
They haven’t used “actual” cars since 1971. Those cars had a “stock” tub. And that was about it. Everything else was modified heavily.

This gen looks so much better than the last... I'm so glad that they went back to a symmetrical body. The new exhaust should sound better as well since it dumps on both sides of the cars.

@@devinbender8428 Yes, indeed my friend. Specifically; Ford Racing 2, a favorite of mine may I just say. For the common gamer that game series could be mediocre or average racing game. Nevertheless; for me are great because in Ford Racing 2, 3, and Street Racing you can drive the Ford GT and the one and only GT90. There are a bunch of games featuring the GT90, almost 12 or 13 videogames, but in FR 2, FR3 and Street Racing it looks beautiful. Also in TOCA 2.

now all ford needs to do is make a 358 nascar edition mustang you can buy then make a gt racecar version of that and take it to LeMans.
Lemans is restricted to 450hp. So the 5.2 voodoo is actually restricted a lot.
But I agree. Take the 7.3 Godzilla. And de stroke it from 3.95 to 3.19 to make a 5.8. Throw it in the G350r/Mache 1 and call it a day.
