I'm a St. Petersburg native and have fond memories of visiting Sunken Gardens with my grandparents as a child. Over the past 5 years or so I've become connected with a friends daughter who is about 7 years old today. Definitely need to take her to Sunken Gardens, it's a St. Petersburg tradition.

So much has changed since I worked there in 81', I started as a cage cleaner for all of the animals they use to have, and then in the middle of the morning, the person who was a feeder quit and they promoted me to the position that was one of the happiest days of my younger years. I had the most fun when I would feed Gus the monkey
he would do dirty things in front of the guest, good times! LOL.

Yay! I can finally watch this one! Immediately I am noticing the sign is different...... the pretty flower part on the right isn't there anymore! That is a shame!!! It's actually kinda weird to watch this without me next to you pointing out plants lol. It's cool to see it decorated for the holidays though, I love the flamingos with the little hats and scarves!!!!!!!! 7:33 I showed this in my video, but it didn't have that coming soon sign for the bird sanctuary, it just had a plant in there. That is sad that didn't come to fruition, but maybe they decided to put their funds towards the museum. Wooooahhh the snapping turtle! Wow!! I hope he didn't die :( Also hard to watch that part knowing what may or may not have happened there :/ hey that looks like a nice place to get hitched ;) omg you called the crown of thorns ugly LOL!!! You at least said you liked the cacti though and hoped to spend more time in the south west :) oh my gosh the amphitheater part lol!!
Again, so happy I could watch this one now and really glad I waited so I could be surprised! This was a great video babe, but I'm glad you re-did it to show it some more love and give people updates on it because some stuff def changed! I will always cherish our first visit here together
