‘US Forces Left Bagram Airbase at Night Without Informing Commander’: Afghan Forces Feel Betrayed

  • After nearly 20 years, the United States military vacated biggest airfield in Afghanistan, the Bagram airbase on July 2. US troops reportedly slipped away in the night without even informing the Afghan soldiers patrolling the area. However, the new Afghan military commander claims he discovered the departure of US troops hours after their exit.
Afghan military claims looters ransacked barrack and rummaged through giant storage tents before they could take over. According to reports, the airbase was completely handed over to the Afghan National Defence and Security Forces. But Afghan soldiers criticised US troops over how they left Bagram.

After 2,312 American Servicemembers lost and 824 BN Dollars spended on Combat Operations over 20 yrs, trainning, equiping and even doing most of Combat Ops, they should be able to DEFEND their Country by themselves and stand their ground. Instead they're surrendering wholesale and giving the equipment to the Taliban. Were we supposed to keep fighting the Taliban for ever?, WE did our part, now is time for them to decide what they really want. Maybe they should arm their women to help fight the Taliban. The Afghanis have some good Army members,(Afghan Spec Ops), but if everyone keeps runing away from the Taliban the Goverment Forces will soon be NOT the Goverment, but the resistance. Afghanis better "screw their balls in tight" if they want to survive as a Democratic Country or maybe they're used to been Oppressed all the time to be happy. Anyways, good luck.

@@ajsingh9668 Bin Laden is dead...... Only reason US went into Afghanistan was because of 9-11. That was 20 years ago. How long should the US be there, 30, 40, 50 years? The country will never be stable unless US stays there. It's not our land, Americans don't care about Afghanistan. Samething in Vietnam, South Vietnams government was never stable. How long does the US have to stay there and how long do you expect the American people to put up with that? These governments have to be able to support themselves and with the people fight for what they want. That's not the US job.

In America our genes are from everywhere, so if you insult the genetics from here you're insulting your own it's as simple as that really.
