Thank you Lorraine. You may could use a real plant, but the dirt may make it top heavy. You could put a little dirt on the bottom and add peat moss to fill the rest to keep it light.

Hi Patti,I have gone onto the Hobby Lobby site to find the sizes of the terracotta pots you use in your demonstrations,but I am denied from the site. It could be because I live in Australia maybe, if possible can you please put on your post of things you need to make the item the actual size of the terracotta pots please. Love your post I wish I could make a gnome that quick like you do,but it takes me a week as I get so frustrated if I get it wrong,even though you demonstrate every step perfectly.
