@@aquaferme1346 It doesn't seem to have an effect on sound. Someone made MX-mount sliders for Alps switches and they seemed to sound just about the same.
Well, you can. You just need the money, the parents are no longer a problem. Idk why Matias still didnt do it. Their Matias Click has almos the same force courve of an Alps Amber switch, and the click leaf seems kinda simillar too. If they cloned Alps Amber (A very rare alps switch) they could clone Alps Blues too.
@@aquaferme1346 Someone had made Nexus slider for Alps switches. It sounds about the same, lower pitch actually, but the housing seems to mess up with the click/tactile leaf thus make it rattle.
they need room in the case for the sound to develop... most custom alps boards i see are teeny tiny 60% keyboards that don't let the sound develop at all
@@lettuce7378 Yeah, I saw this "LZ CLS" board with Blue Alps from Taeha Types that sounded really good but judging by other sound tests with the same config, its super inaccurate. This sounds great tho, needs that hollowness to it.
As crazy as it sounds, I think I liked the Matias clicks more than the Blue alps, they sounded more clacky than the blue alps and still has that good click! ^^
@@keymacs Yea, I just ordered a pack of 200 of it yesterday along with one of each silent linear and tactile switches! Also bought 10 NOS pine white Alps as well to see which one is better ^^
Interesting, I have not tried that yet. I have tried to put Matias tactile leafs into SKCMBB switches but they did not seem to fit. Anyway, SKCMBB typing demo just released. :-)
I'm really surprised how good Matias click sounds.
matias sounds alot more crunchy than i thought, it is amazing
Look at the size of that goddamned SPACE BAR.
It's called a space bar for a reason
That’s not a space bar, that’s a galaxy bar 😮😆
Man, if I had the money I'd buy the manufacturing rights to SKCM blue and start producing them again. Maybe even with an MX mount.
but I think the shape of the Alps mount (hollow) constributes to that great sound?

The patents expired long time ago, the challenge is the tooling

Keymacs literally knows how to remake a good Alps board. I've seen a lot of custom alps boards and most of them sound like crap.

Sounds amazing. Looks good too. Wish it was cheaper.

The Matiases are also a bit lighter, I can type much faster on Matiases than on the vintage blue Alps.
@@keymacs oh interesting, cuz I heard that matias is more tactile than blue alps, I'm guessing the weighting is lighter on the matias?
@@ElasticoOFCL I think, yes. Lighter but more tactile, if it makes sense. Definitely pleasant and perhaps the best clicky switches in production.

nice
Matias sounds like horse galloping haha
you vs the girl he tells you not to worry about
typing this on dampened cream alps with matias click leafs. best of both worlds for way less $$$ than blues.
