Robert Smith may have lost the match but he made one of the most entertaining strikes on television. I come back to this video just to watch it
25:16 Now THAT is what I call a strike... I can't stop replaying!!!
Its insane how fast he threw it. He probably could have done that for the 1st ball in the 10th and given himself a chance.
@@frootloops1696 balls like that arent consistent to strike. No angle too much deflection
@@5278ryan That ball wasn’t gonna deflect off of anything.
24:55 I love how Robert Smith smacks the 3 Pin in the Curtain
Jones has probably my favorite game of all time. Love his form, love his power, would love to have his game!
GRIP AND RIP BABY!
22:39 WHAT A SPLIT CONVERSION!
how about Fagans XXX in the 10th...magical shotmaking
@@mpup54fagans clutch conversion
Tommy Jones... and 14 years later wins the HOF tournament with a 300 on the day they induct him...BADASS.
the day after i think.
HOF was in 2020. this video was 2006
Why does Robert smith look completely different in every telecast
I know, right?
Gotta keep you on your toes haha
Because he goes so long in between making them lol
I miss Robert Smith.
I still marvel at his release. Still the most powerful single handed release the tour has ever seen. But if Rob hard learned to occasionally turn the horsepower down just a bit he would have won more tournaments, no doubt about it.
Yeah or if urethane the likes of pitch black and purple hammer were produced back then
I was told he's throwing 2 handed these days.
I'm strongly against 2 handed bowling, bowling is meant to be done with ONE hand, with no exceptions to the rule
Kevin Rose they still only release with one hand so technically your argument is invalid
25:14 Robert Smith's super powerful ball.
I would love to see Robert smith throw ball faster as Osku palermaa
That split conversion by Fagan
Geeez TJ played a 5 step approach AND a THREE step approach? That’s some rare talent right there.
Look at Roberts glorious mane. Soft and feathered. Just perfect.
57:54 Tommy Jones had got a messenger Brooklyn strikes
22:47 Michael Fagan converted 6-7-10 split
3 of these guys doing what the 2 handers are doing now with one hand lol. Keep in mind this is not 2 hander hate.
I'm not a two handed hater either, but when people say Belmo or Jesper has the strongest ball ever, I tell them to go watch clips of Smith. They couldn't touch him in his prime. He was called Maximum Bob for a reason. The speed and revs he could put on a ball was absurd. It's a shame he was plagued by back issues.
smith showed how to play in us open . streat and hard down the lane . how he trowed last shot
Fegans 4th frame.. Most perfect strike ever...
25:15 PUNISHED those pins!
Favourite Gran love too much ln message was sent from corey ❤❤
Back when Tommy Jones had hair.
I have the same spare ball Fagan is using in my basement.
Mike Fagan is I your basement???? Cool!!!
Back when Tommy Jones was having a good run winning often.
+Riz2336 The Ebonite One made him a millionaire lol.
After state and federal taxes it probably made him a ~$600,000aire.
This was before Belmo came along...
Well...I got news for you!
39:47 TJ scream
55:16 TJ dancing
1:04:12 scream
22:48 6-7-10 split conversion
24:12 needs strike and spare
25:16 robert smith throw ball fast as Osku palermaa (Osku did one hand with strike)
No one will ever surpass him before or after.
Fagan cupped his wrist at the top back then
I really wish people that post tournaments would not post the scores. People that haven't seen the show would like to see.
Not that I don't appreciate it.
I miss Mike
Lol, Jones Young gun. Great bowler.
wow tommy jones hair
omg TJ that hair tho
it's 63rd not 63th
the story about WPBA was good...why? because Liz Johnson is a BADASS.
it was an amazing victory for Tommy Jones
Andrew Phillips wHy spoil it fo others ass?
Douglas Harris he does it on every video. Surprised channels haven’t blocked him yet.
James Satchwill no, definitely not related haha. Yeah I’ve seen that guy too on several videos. Like I understand they’re old videos but some people haven’t seen them before, so ruining the outcome is a bit of a buzzkill.
James Satchwill that’s a great idea, I might have to start chipping away at them!
Volume is almost too low.
24:56 how did smith get that pin into the pinsetter
TJ did it too 34:30
There’s like a gap between Pit Curtain and Pit Cushion cause the Pit Curtain is removable on a Brunswick A2 Pinsetter. Not sure if you understand what I’m saying cause I’m one of those small number of Bowlers who were Pinsetter Nerds and I know majority of Bowlers have Zero knowledge about Pinsetters.
Robert was just waaaaay too desperate for strikes. He let too much of his emotions get out of him which hindered his timing. His shot in the 10th is clear indication of that. He was already locked in on that lane but ended up pulling it. Too bad really coz I think he may have calmed down as the rounds progressed.
Ended up on the weird side i came from pranks
+Serhat Seker me 2 so weird xD
63rd*
+Matt Anderson (AndersonM1) Lol right? what is it sixty threeth?
+Austy I believe that it would be 73.
Tommy Jones and Ryan Shafer have bowled some exciting matches
Andrew Phillips how many exciting matches have they bowled?
1:02:04 calm down
Tommy Jones had to have the highest rev rate on your before all these 2 finger bowlers started taking over the tour.
No that was Robert Smith
Robert Smith had the "Boss" ball of the pba back in the day
@@2309119 I still think he had the most violent ball even compared to more recent bowlers. Osku could give him a run that's about it. 650+ RPM and he bowls one handed, and uses his thumb
Robert Smith has a different haircut for every TV appearance. His haircut is like Pete Weber and his wives.
たかがボウリング、玉ころがし、されどボウリング。飽きずに頑張ろう。
MY BETTING MONEY IS ON RYAN SHAFER CHRIS HOCH
Maximum Bob
They call 20 degrees cold try fecking belong 0 degrees with snow
fagan makes show with a week high game of 245.. alrighty then
i think it speaks to consistency rather than high highs and low lows.
@@RealFlankenBerry ill buy that thank you
I remember when Robert Smith had the most speed and revs ever recorded on the PBA. Did Belmo beat that?
Nope, crazy hu?
Flaming Seagul
Why did he retire? He was doing pretty well.
Kidlat432 i think Osku beat that
Robert had to retire because all that raw power took a large toll on his body later on. Injuries and pain, he couldn't perform to the level that he used to anymore.
@@Kidlat432 He got sick - wasn't an injury. I can't remember exactly what happened, but I remember he had some sort of sickness/disease that took him out in his prime.
MY left ear enjoyed this. My right ear, not so much.
Who the fuck covers 40 boards back and forth, more hook than a two handed bowler.
It must say somewhere in the bowling almanac that you must have the absolute worst hair style possible
If I make TV, im purposely dying my hair a bright vibrant pink and styling the "I wanted to stay home" type
