- Hello and welcome to Alive Road.
In today's video we are testing an ITIWIT Watertight Duffel Bag. We will be showing a 10L duffel bag in grey color. We will show you how to properly seal it and how much of water it can resist.
You can pick up your own duffel bag here: tinyurl.com/y36ast58
We hope you enjoy the video! - Sport
Thank you for doing the submersion test. I was wondering what Itiwit meant by "brief submersion" and you answered my question.
I've always wondered - What happens if you pour some water in the bag. Will it leak or will it stay?
Thanks :)!
You're welcome :)
Is it normal that the air decreases over time?
Depends how long we're talking about. It's not a 100% sealed container so I guess a small, gradual decrease is expected.
I realise this was 2 years ago but I’ll comment anyway. One of the reasons these bags keep water out of the positive air pressure inside. As soon as you submerge the bag the pressure increases and the bag is compressed by the weight of the water. As long as air is gradually seeping out, water won’t come in because the bag is being compressed so the air doesn’t need to be replace by water (like it would with a solid fixed shaped container). What would be interesting to see is if it would keep water out after all the air is gone.
Can it be used during rainy condition
Of course. If you can submerge it then it will handle any type of rain as well.
