Ashihara Kaikan Singapore is proud and honoured to host Kancho Ashihara Hidenori and Shihan-dai Takashi Hara from Souhombu, Matsuyama, Ehime (Japan).
Kancho conducted a master class in his usual light-hearted and friendly manner, with participants on basic practice, fight control and sabaki.
Kancho constantly reminded us; 'It is important to enjoy your training in Ashihara Karate', and I'm sure we all did.

it's no nonsense karate. Nice Dojo. Kancho Ashihara moves softly but very sharp and effective :)
This is the best Karate I know of. Very efficient and effective techniques.

oh my... the seconds following 1:28 blew me away! I guess this is why sanchin dachi gamai is preferred during sparring?
Sanchin dachi training gives a strong foundation for sparring. We learn how to be rooted, receive impact, and use the body properly from there.
