- Get 6 TB space for your onedrive, without too much work! In this video we will show you how to get six different email adresses that pointsto the same gmail account! It cxan be usefull if you for some reason need to have several accounts for the same platform, like in this case onedrive!
At the end of the video we show you how onedrive fills up your hard drive and how to delete the stuff to free up harddrive space!
To free up space:
1. Click start (microsoft flag)
2. Search "hidden folders" - Click it
3. Change setting to show hidden folders
4. go to: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\OfficeFileCache\0\0
5. Delete the content

Hello, I Just tried the Method for adding Email in Microsoft 365. But it does not work, When You accept the invitation for adding into the Family, The Microsoft website will say that Your account already subscribed

I might have forgotten to mention why I looked at this option, the reason why was that there is a maximim size of the 1 person onedrive of 2TB and there were no option to upgrade it!

I want to turn off all automatic featurres of ONE DRIVE and use it as a remote logical drive that I can manually move or copy files to from my physical hard drives on my desktop using FILE EXPLORER in Win 10. I am having trouble turning off the auto synch features and have found that there is a hidden directory on my desktop hard drive that contains a copy of everything I have stored on the Cloud Onedrive. This is using up way too much disk space on my desktop Logical C drive. You may be wondering why I am doing this and the reason is that I have two physical hard drives on my desktop and a total of eight Logical hard drives. This is to help organize all my files going back 20 years etc.. So you see, I really just want a remote logical drive for backup of my files to be copied only manually.
Thank you for sharing your detailed use case with us. To use OneDrive as a simple remote logical drive where you can manually move or copy files to, you will need to unlink your PC from the OneDrive and disable the automatic sync feature. Here's how to do it:
First, you need to 'unlink' your PC from OneDrive. Click the OneDrive icon in the system tray at the bottom right of your screen. Click on 'More', then 'Settings', then the 'Account' tab. Here, you'll see an option to 'Unlink this PC'. Click it and confirm your choice.
Now that you have unlinked your PC, you can choose to manually upload files to OneDrive as you wish. To do this, go to the OneDrive website, log in, and you can upload files or folders manually.
As for the hidden directory on your local machine that is using up disk space, it sounds like you are referring to the OneDrive cache. When you unlink your PC from OneDrive, the OneDrive setup wizard should give you the option to keep or delete these files. Make sure to delete them if you don't want them taking up space on your local drive. If they're still there after unlinking, you can manually delete the OneDrive folder from your user folder (usually it's in C:\Users\YourUserName).
Remember, though, that this means OneDrive will no longer automatically back up your files. You'll need to do it manually by uploading files or folders to the OneDrive website.
It's also worth noting that if you want to have the benefits of cloud storage without it taking up local disk space, you might want to look into OneDrive's "Files On-Demand" feature, if you haven't already. This feature allows you to see and access all of your files in OneDrive from File Explorer without them taking up space on your local hard drive. But note that this is different from the 'unlink' solution I described above; it still involves syncing, but it doesn't download all the files to your local hard drive.
