The Falcon Air inflatable raceboards are designed for intermediate to experienced paddlers who want to focus on paddling speed, training & covering long distances; but want to avoid the hassle of transport, storage & handling that comes with a composite raceboards.
All four sizes of our lightweight race traveller have a new more performance-orientated shape, with
a narrower tail - featuring silicone rail edges - to increase top speed and maximise gliding efficiency. The generous flotation and ultra stiff, lightweight Double Layer Premium technology ensures they are rigid and direct on the water, with a super stable stance. Ideal for either flat water or down-winders on open-ocean, they are ready to race!

At some point could you review the Gili 10'6 air? It seems a good board on a budget and light for travel. The only issue i notice so far is the cost of posting from US to Scotland. I am a beginner so I am not sure the technical details, i could be missibg something important

      Hey D
To be honest we have been reviewing iSUPs for years now and the amount of new boards that we don't know about that are popping up each week is amazing!
The package and price looks okay. Most boards of that size that you are looking at will be absolutely fine for an entry-level SUP. It can get a little bit more technical to make sure you buy the best board when you get into a certain discipline like touring, racing, or surfing.
We will send them an email and see if they want to get involved on SUPboarder. Thanks for your comment happy paddling Reuben

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place to comment, but does anyone know where i can get the starboard airline bungees(In the UK, South East if poss)? I've got the 2019 version and i use it for touring but its hard to strap my bags to the front without them sliding off in the bigger chop -_-.
Also where is this place that you're filming? It looks awesome for a chilled paddle! I really struggle to find some nice looking lakes/rivers to paddle on down here in the south east, any advice on how to find nice spots in your local area?

Hey Pedro. I think the best thing to do from your bungees is contact Starboard UK or any good starboard shop should be able to help.
As far as handling locations are concerned, obviously you can check out spots on GeoSUP App and that will give you a lot of inspiration. But really trying to get away from the crowds look for waterways and estuaries away from cities in built-up areas will give you the best paddling locations.

Why does it have such 'break' lug/loop on the bottom front? I heard for pulling it with a boat? But who does that? And why do Fanatic put something that could disturb the flow of the board?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  Před 2 lety

It is a towing attachment for safety reasons. If someone or the board is in trouble, you can connect it up and tow the board. It does disturb the water flow and brands are trying new towing attachments on the deck. Well spotted and something to consider. Thanks, Beau

to test speed, maybe electric fin and max speed, measure time for certain distance... might be a start to get objective somehow..

Hey Raul. Like the other comments below it is very hard to compare a premium price product to a less premium product. I do actually talk about this In the SUPboarder Pro video of this review and also compare it to another 11 of the boards on the market at the moment. So this might be worth having a signup just to watch this one video if you're interested.
But to be honest our impressions of aqua Marina have never been that bad. Yes the quality is not going to be as high as a more expensive product like this one. But for the price point it's still a good product that is going to get you paddling fast and possibly even winning races. It's always important to listen to everybody's feedback especially riders who own the products.
But I hope this helps a little bit and check out Sup with a pro if you want to find out more about that video. www.supboardermag.com/equipment_guide/fanatic-falcon-air-premium-dl-light-double-layer-light-14-0-26-5-2020-review/
But to answer your question if money isn't an object then the fanatic falcon is a much better board. Thanks Reuben

Thanks for sending in your feedback it's always great to really hear what your experiences have been like. We have looked at a lot of AQ products and to be honest they really haven't been that bad. The only thing we've had to do on almost all the paddles is tighten up the clamp screws to stop the handles from twisting. I feel the only slight downside for aqua marine is the quality of the bag and the pump which is a little basic. Please keep the comments and feedback coming, it is super important, thanks Reuben
