I’m not proud of how long it took to get Shin Akuma to perform that Raging Demon on me. Please leave a like so my sacrifices were not in vain.
My only problem with him is that 10% health to do the raging demon how someone go do if have no supers and akuma has the lowest health pool but great moveset and design of shin akuma

I think in Capcom vs SNK 2 he's more like "Shinji Akuma" although known as "God Akuma" by some fans.
Gouki was never holding back, he just needed a snickers.

I like the idea that canonically, Shin Akuma really is just regular Akuma fighting at his actual capacity, but he’s so powerful that even while starving and being too tired to use his full power, he’s still stronger than almost everyone else
Akuma is just starving himself as a form of training, the same way some characters uses weights; eating the rice ball is basically him removing his "limiter".
Fighting hungry/malnourished is the same as Akuma holding back. The rice ball gives him some serious power, but it's just a single rice ball. Imagine if he had a Goku meal

He can't eat a Goku meal, because it'd give him too much power and turn him into Oni.
Something I think is interesting about this game’s take on Shin Akuma is that it’s not actually the real Akuma. It’s a duplicate made by SiRN to mimic a full power Akuma, and all the characters have a unique win quote against him.
I also had the theory that Akuma is just in permanent shin mode in this game. Nice to see someone also having my theory.
Akuma is not in permanent Shin mode, he only pulls that out when he is facing an opponent capable of pushing him that far (Gouken, usually).
As for SiRN Akuma, the newcomers are indeed impressed by it, and those who heard about Akuma also think it to be a perfect copy of the demon's full might...but people like Ryu, someone who understands just how powerful Akuma truly is, do not believe that this machine can even fathom his true might. They all say that it is missing something...both in power and in drive.

also fun akuma lore added in world tour he only eats as much as he needs and survives off foraging and hunting in nature he also just sleeps in the open like in the middle of grassy fields or hills
I just can't help to say this: this is the most polished Street Fighter character designs. All the subtleties, callbacks, references, evolution for each character. An example of this is,
Ryu's current itiration has sandals w is vs. Akuma going without sandals. Just small touches like that that is *chef's kiss*.
Modified: replaced "fullbarenaked"meaning full barenaked to without sandals.

Akuma and Shin Akuma are the same being. Akuma, normally selectable version of himself, is him holding back. Shin Akuma is him giving it everything.

I literally just noticed the unique kanji on SiRN Akuma's back moments ago, and was wondering if anyone else had noticed it when this video popped into my feed!
My personal theory is that we are NOT playing as Shin Akuma, or "True" Akuma, in Street Fighter 6. The evidence I would point to is Akuma's new moves, which empahsize turning the Satsui no Hado into red-hot flames. This idea is seen in his fully-charged firefall, his new Adamant Flame special, and his level 2 super art, "Empyrean's End." Fire is synonymous with the emotions of anger and rage, but it's also synonymous with ideas of cleansing and purification. Between this and Akuma displaying a face of uncertainty in his win animation, I beleive we play as an Akuma who is teetering on the brink BETWEEN Oni and Shin Akuma. He's closer to acheiving his "true" and "pure" self then he's ever been, but if he lets himself fall into rage just a bit too much, he'll be consumed by the demon almost immediately.
See I like this type of stuff cause i had the same theory tbh, Like what if the Akuma we are playing as is the in between Akuma, like he's just in between turning into Oni and realizing his powers as a mere "human"
I think we’re playing shin akuma by default in SF6. It’s easy to say his white hair is due to him being old but to me it’s very in character for akuma to master the satsui no hado and that’s his new norm but he’d still strive for more. Plus as cool as oni is I can see akuma not wanting to lose himself and continue to honor his code
Unfortunately, Oni is what lies at the end of Akuma's path.

@@Hellspawner06 IIRC the creators of SF4 said that Oni was envisioned as "Akuma beyond Shin Akuma". Though Shin Akuma is him at full power, he still isn't fully consumed by the Hado. Very close to falling, but not quite.
With Oni, Akuma loses his last shred of humanity, his honor as a warrior, and the dark Hado overtakes him.
He will become undoubtedly stronger, even compared to his Shin self...but his identity as Akuma will be gone forever and replaced by Oni. Because of the path he is on, training to achieve greater heights of power and mastery over the Hado, his fate as Oni is inevitable

1:31 It actually says 神鬼(Shin Oni) which means 'Divine/God demon' and not 神人. Goutetsu also said this as he was about to succumb to his raging demon wounds vs Akuma on the street fighter short film.

Awesome video as always, missed a few more times these shin Akuma moves have been in SF, SFV Akuma have a version of the Kongou Kokuretsuzan the Sekia Kuretsuha....and Kage have Misogi as his VT1 when is active, other than those missed this was great breakdown on Shin Akuma history.

SF6 Akuma is by far the best Akuma. I didn't think it was possible to portray him better than before. That raging demon is sexy af.

what I found interesting instead is when you perform his super where he slam you down and do that one punch, listen to the sound when his fist powers up
it is the exact same one that we can hear during his raging demon in Sf 5. I'd like to believe that that one punch can now equal to what used to be his raging demon, and his current form of raging demon is a thousand of his old one.
I think that this version of Shin Akuma is just Akuma finally has absolute control over his Shin form.

Most surprising moment in fighting games history is when you see Rugal chuck aside Akuma like a jobber and turns into God Rugal
Interesting to note that SiRN Akuma's kanji replaces the 人 (human) with 鬼 (demon/ogre), which is the kanji Oni displays.
This only supports my theory that Oni is not a "what if" character but a legitimate future form of Akuma. Rose in SF4 calls out Oni as an anachronism, asking why is he appearing now (in SF4) as opposed to some other time, likely the future.
I found one other spot Akuma smiles in. When you start from his Continue? screen in Arcade mode. It's pretty wild to look at tbh
I like how they've moved away from Akuma walking down the path of Oni. Shin Akuma was always the more interesting option with Akuma refusing to sacrifice nothing but his own free will for power. Let Bison be the one that loses himself in the pursuit of strength, and let Akuma keep his honor. The dude's an ass, yes, but he's not as one-note as Bison is, and he deserves to stay that way.
I tried fighting him in Avatar battle and I was able to beat him multiple times when he tried out moves and I just charged and counter his moves with Headbutts and Dives. Also, about 5:44, someone actually told me that you only need to press down and taunt button once the moment Akuma turns his head away after talking in his back taunt.
Hes too easy with Avatar the true victory is Ryu or Ken vs Akuma
I remember seeing that old leak of Street Fighter 6's characters, among which depicts Akuma with reddish hair with a few white stripes of hair like in 3rd Strike. His hair looked a bit more smooth in the leak. I think his white hair means his advanced age and perhaps him being constantly on his "Shin mode"?

It does NOT mean Ten. Rather, that's its pronunciation.
Pronounced Ten (Tian in Chinese), means Heaven.

We simply don’t know but i think it makes more sense to assume its due to age. We see him greying in third strike. The only other argument that makes sense is that his hair was greying because he was slowly becoming shin, starting in third strike. But the move set difference is what I think sets it apart. Shin is basically like “potential unlocked”. So maybe we could argue in essence he is but I wouldn’t count it until the actual potential is “unlocked”

I definitely believe that we’re playing “ Shin Akuma “ or at least we’re playing a version of akuma that closely follows how he was in Ryu Final.
The SiRN Akuma fight is not really that difficult. Yes he's fast, has a always increasing meter and has unique supers but you just need to be faster and use his style against him. He also takes increased damage so its not impossible to defeat him. Good luck to anyone who does fight him

The Kanji on his back in SF6 is not Shin Jin (from before). Its Shin oni. Meaning God Ghost/Ghoul

I say that Akuma in SF6 is “Shin” Akuma because he has conquered Oni, all of the power none of the madness
well when he beats Ryu in the fight of his tour he is actually revealed to have enjoyed his fight with Ryu, carving a smile onto a carving for his recent fight.

Most of this is accurate, but we don't fight Shin Akuma in SF6, we fight SiRN Akuma. The world tour story needed to unlock Akuma takes you to the SiRN building where you have to ultimately teach androids how to fight like Akuma. The SiRN Akuma we fight is a super powered android that we (the player) taught how to fight after we mastered Akuma's moves ourselves.

Back to SF4 when Akuma finishes raging demon he shows
“神人” on his back, which “人” means “human / man”
So basically Akuma made progress from 神人 to 神鬼, and it resonate the last sentence of 「一瞬千擊 、拔山蓋世、鬼哭啾啾、故豪鬼成。」
“故豪鬼成” literally means “the completion of Akuma.”

You activate shin akuma by taunting using back taunt. And then down taunt right before he gets up. He eats a rice ball and his gauge goes up to 3 and then bam Shin akuma
