Never in my life did I think I'd be so interested in pressure washing. Most people have no idea how hard farming is. Farmers keep this country running and without them we're done. Support your local farmers, they're the best people on earth.
They're farmers, welders, carpenters, mechanics, concrete finishers, and many more trades.
It's definitely easier than it used to be. The big thing is being motivated to do the work that needs to be done every day without a boss on your butt making sure the work gets done, and being good with finances.
Close. Farmer's keep the country fed: Truck drivers keep it running! Both are needed to survive.

Thanks for the videos, I would rather disc 50 acres than move those cameras around, LOL. Grew up on a farm, hard work, not being afraid to get dirty and actually seeing what you accomplish. The smells of rain in the air, the ground freshly plowed and fresh cut hay, it stays with you forever.

Attached some heavy bristle brushes at the end of your conveyor belt on the bottom and it will knock off most of that dirt and dust from the product. Make sure the bristle brush is at the end of the conveyor outside near the tractor . Good luck to you and Shane and all.
Watching your channel, I definitely appreciate french fries, baked potatoes, etc even more. I had no idea how much work goes into raising and storing and shippin them out. America Needs Farmers, if you ate today, thank a farmer!

The surfacers with castors are much easier to push and faster to use. Ours were stainless and the bad boy 30" was aluminum, so castors were a must. We used a 12 to 15 inch version on our truck mounted carpet cleaner to do tile. Some surfacers have suction ports for use with recovery units, but you end up with a big hose to deal with. Start washing from the low point of the floor and work your way up in long stretches. That way you don't wash away the soap with the runoff water. A dual lance with a second large tip allows you to twist the side handle and reduce the pressure for rinsing. It was great for running the boiler and having 200 degree water at 3500 psi and 5.5 gpm and then twisting the handle to get more intricate or sensitive equipment in restaurants. Sometimes you just need the volume and larger tip to wash away the dirt without blowing it across the room.

My parents had good friends in the 70's that were from Presque Isle up in the County. Both Don and Eldora were from potato farmer families. Visited there with my folks in a February, way back when Snow was almost up to the lower phone wires.. Im going to go back through your videos to see more about your farm. Its been fascinating to see the cleaning process to properly handle and store the corn.

Molly you might want to look into getting a 5 in 1 painters tool for cleaning the silk off the conveyor rollers.

Great video !! If you'd ask most people where they would get their food if all the farmers would quit they reply I'd just go to the grocery store ! They haven't got a clue 🤯🤯 what all has to be done for that food to get there. Our extra sweet corn we (dad & I )pulled by hand in burlap bags & took it to the roadside stands.

Wow your spud cellers are immaculate, up here in idaho not like that. I use deck boots like that in my landscaping buisness. I'm also a commodity hauler belt drive trailer ,we haul corn, ddg,wheat,sugar beets,canola, alfalfa cubes ,potato seed ,etc.

Great job as always...you guys Rock....i was just thinking...for scraping the rollers...you know that small hand tool that looks like a flat scraper for painters that has a half moon cutout to scrape paint out of rollers before washing, maybe you could built yourself something like that out of a 3 or 4 inches wide drywall compound trowel (depends on the diameter of the rollers) and with a metal holesaw, cut out a half moon in the middle and centered...i think it would be easier pushing it to scrape of the dried silks than using a utility knife...but maybe i am wrong...have a great rest of summer..

Hi Shane and Molly, It's good to see potato growers taking care of their storage bins.Believe me the last thing we want to deal with in the fry plant is diseased/rotten spuds. Up here in Southern Alberta we can store spuds upto about 10 months , how about you guys? Thanks for the videos.
Yeah, that’s about the max for us too. They usually are off the floor in the pile by March, april, then everything is in tote bags. We are coming down to the last bit of our crop that was harvested in October now. Thanks for commenting.
