  • Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn will formally be crowned this weekend, nearly two-and-a-half years after he ascended to the throne.
He became the constitutional monarch after his father died, ending a 70-year reign.

Thai monarchy is an institution worth preserving . The world needs it. It is a historically significant cultural heritage.
Monarchy in Thailand is also the spiritual fountainhead of Buddhism as practised in Thailand. It must be preserved at any
cost. No one can calculate its value in terms of money. Monarchy is the only unifying force for the peace loving people of Thailand,
next only to Buddhism. The present King has his limitations but will surely will improve his ways and earn the respect of all.
We need to give him time as a King to get groomed .
Westeners are not the ones to judge its value. Neither can they evaluate any living institutions of Thailand. Westeners have their
own axe to grind as much as the Singaporean Chinese, and mainland Chinese. Thailand must be allowed to survive as it is
with its own individuality and uniqueness. Thai Army is also a peace loving army and are guided by values of Buddhism. It can
never be compared to the armies of the rest of the countries in the world.
Some self serving politicians held power in between to destabilise Thailand and to perpetuate their business empires. The Army
saved the country from such dirty greedy politicians who are living in exile . Hence Thai Army and the monarchy are the 2 pillars of Thai democracy and must be preserved at any cost.

Hoàng Nguyên yes most of us know that he isn’t fit to be king but the problem here is that everyone outside of Thailand has obviously not heard of a “coronation” and therefore think a queen bowing and praying in front of her King is sexist

@Hoàng Nguyên , how much do you really know him, or his father? Educated people do not say things or insult other people with no substance to support their saying. Peace!!

I also like how we hype up the Presidental elections, our democracy, and how we're going to vote out that Trump (a psychological tool) but our votes don't even matter. There are lots of things like that. I'm trying to get a settlement out of Putin and am going into hiding.
