    You should consider using the Escalera to lower the safe down each step rather than dropping down each of the steps. Just remove the big wheel attachment and bring the Escalera about 2-3 inches from the step edge and reverse the toggle to let it safely and slowly lower it down each of the steps. Using the ramps worked but seemed to add some danger that could have been eliminated by using the stair climber to lower the load. If you aren't used to going down stairs with the unit, watch the Escalera video from the company and practice with no load so you get comfortable doing it.

      I know this is an old post but we used to have an Escalera for moving wood burning stoves around the showroom and into customer homes but then we found out about the Powermate LE-1. Not only does it climb up and down stairs but it also acts like a forklift and can move the load up and down. Alittle more expensive than the Escalera but WELL WORTH IT!

  • @TruckTaxiMoveIt
    @TruckTaxiMoveIt Před 4 lety +5

    Overall good job.
    Suggestion use more cardboard and rubber.
    The cardboard as corner caps to make it easier to get your Dolly under the appliance as well as to protect it or maybe to protect walls as you are traveling from room to room.
    Rubber (from rubber mats to rubber tires) could be used to cushion all landings especially when you decided to lay the safe down -- a long rubber mat on top of two rimless donut car tires would have been perfect under the safe on its side, in this way it's high off the platform but not too high to disturb the center of gravity but high enough to get your fingers under and to make it easier on your back when it's time that stand the safe up again.
    Couple times I saw in your videos using the same piece of equipment the wobble while descending stairs and now in this case ascending stairs that's pretty scary.
