PARADISE FOUND? Foreigner Explores Mystical Hidden Caragan Valley in Davao (Mindanao, Philippines)

  • I DIDN'T PLAN TO COME HERE. And when I did, I was just looking for mossy forest. I didn't find mossy forest, but I couldn't get enough of what I did find.
A narrow valley floor, full of upland rice and vegetables, surrounded by forested mountains, the only outlet the Caraga River, and the only road in newly built. And plenty of Mandaya culture that I'm excited to explore more in the future.
And they certainly don't see many outsiders here, let alone foreigners!
The Sea of Clouds is first up, and we close with Tagbibinta Falls and some food! But Maragusan's true gem is in the next valley over - and I need to explore it more some time, with better planning.

What's truly sad - KUMANDER - is that you don't see a BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY right in front of you... {VEGETABLES} - "the Prices Are HIGH in the CITY, and Low Here" THE WOMAN told you - all you need to do is set up a "CSA-type" system or just become a VEGETABLE DISTRIBUTOR - buy a van with a COOLER - drive out buy the vegetables at wholesale, and bring them to the city.. I'll bet you'd have half the VAN sold over FACEBOOK and to CZcams - locals before you'd even get back to the city.

@@LevAgency those middlemen are incredibly powerful, that's the issue. They have a LOT of control and they are not very nice to those who try to undercut them.
Otherwise I would love to truck veggies. I've looked at doing it before. It's just... Cut-throat, sometimes.

    National Geographic level presentation 👏👏👏
I watched this without skipping the ads .. and i watched this twice 😁.
This area is similar to the Cordillera Region of the Northern Luzon although less mountainous. The mountains are also lower and easier to navigate than those in the Cordillera.
The Caragan valley is wide and awesome, almost like those in fantasy movies.
The musical score when you enter the valley ( time 6:30) is dope 👍 .. like the one use in GOT 😁
    Nice one KD!

For sure this problem has already been figured out for resolution by the LGU, the mayor knows what is good for the people. I have trust in them, irrespective of political groups, as I haven't heard of any local official in Maragusan involved in corruption eversince. Salamat po.

From your video it shows that area is more to do with farming, with roads being built the community will be benefited. A very informative video, quality of the video is very good, keep it coming. Thank you.

Kumander D, your blog is an excellent snapshot of the Compostela Valley or Davao de Oro. I’m glad that you featured a female vegetable grower and that you showed us the potential dangers of road building on the mountainous areas of Davao de Oro. 🌺🌸🌺
